Atlanta is widely recognized as a major hub for human trafficking within the United States. It is one of the U.S. cities with the highest rates of child sex trafficking cases and, as of a 2023 report, ranked second in the U.S. for human trafficking cases per capita, after Washington, D.C.. Key Reasons for Atlanta's High Trafficking Activity Major Transportation Infrastructure: Atlanta's extensive network of major interstates (I-20, I-75, I-85) and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, one of the world's busiest airports, provide easy routes for traffickers to move victims in and out of the city quickly and anonymously. Large-Scale Events and Conventions: The city frequently hosts major conventions and sporting events (like the Super Bowl or NCAA tournaments), which attract large numbers of visitors and can increase the demand for commercial sex, creating opportunities that traffickers exploit. Vulnerable Population: Factors such as a significant homeless youth population contribute to the problem, as traffickers often target vulnerable individuals, luring them with false promises or exploiting their need for shelter. Anonymity: The sheer volume of transient individuals (tourists and business travelers) in the city provides a level of anonymity for traffickers and makes it harder for law enforcement to detect and intervene in exploitative situations. I welcome them in hopes they continue to find missing women and children that are being sex trafficked. That includes migrant children that were sent alone with cartel members. I pray God protects them until they can be found.

Many problems. A simple answer.
