@SharpFootball Why on earth do trailing teams let the clock expire at the end of the third quarter? They had plenty of time to run a play or even two after getting the first down.

KOC is calling plays like it's 0-0 at the end of the first quarter... rather than down 18 points heading into the 4th quarter of a playoff game

@SigmundBloom It's him or Gronk for me. Kelce has more counting stats, but Kittle/Kelce blow him out in efficiency while also routinely ranking atop the position as a blocker

George Kittle won't get any OPOY votes (which is a travesty). Dude is easily the most underrated player of our generation. Elite blocker, has led all TEs in YPRR in 7 of the last 8 seasons. And despite routinely playing through injuries that would IR a lesser man

Over a 5 year basis, Texas Roadhouse has outperformed Meta, Netflix, Amazon, and Apple. Apple has 1% better stock performance, but Texas Roadhouse dividend is about twice the yield of Apples, so factoring in dividends it's outperformed Apple too.

@LATimesfarmer But none by the team that selected them first overall. Which leads me to my favorite NFL trivia question. Who was the last team to win the Super Bowl with a QB that team drafted first overall?

If the Lions win the North, three of the four NFC division winners have quarterbacks taken No. 1 overall. Versus zero of four in the AFC

And this was an absolute layup of a contract negotiation. The market for a WR of Chase's level was well set. There wasn't much question about whether he was on that level, he clearly was. It was just Mike Brown being stubborn and cheap and my goodness what a mistake.

It's absolutely, positively unbelievable that Mike Brown chose the Ja'Marr Chase situation as his moment to return to absolute cheapness. It's either going to cost him many millions more now, or they'll lose a HOF talent at WR. Brilliant!

@footballzebras Key point is that it becomes a kick when it crosses the line of scrimmage. If the block stays behind the LoS, the defense can play the ball without risk of … that… happening.

Y’all realize that if not for this bullshit, Kirk Cousins would be … 3-0 in prime time this season?

@CurrentTurbid @DaveKluge People forget Bledsoe was taken first overall and on the 2001 Pats. It’s really a wild fun fact that demonstrates how bad teams are that earn the 1.1.

I pored over the last 30 years of first-round QB data and found out that drafting at No. 1 overall gives teams overwhelmingly better odds at finding success for their franchise. My gut told me all top-10 picks QBs the same. But the data painted a very different picture. 🧵👇

@Lee_Sizemore_ @DaveKluge Take it a step further and look at how many 1.1 QBs even took their team to a Super Bowl. Newton, Burrow, Goff, Bledsoe. Trading back is the move!

@BluesFan69_ @DaveKluge That's what happens in a league that was dominated by Brady for the last 20 years lol not many other great QBs are going to win.

@DaveKluge Not intended to be a trick question, but the Giants technically did not draft Eli. I always take the side of trading back if you have the 1.1 and there is a potentially elite option at QB available for that reason.
