Petty. FYI this is how stupid projects dwindle and die, pivot pivot pivot. There is absolutely zero demand for another wallet with "fee on swap" business model. On the contrary, a rich provable human social graph could have high value with the rising AI gpt slop replybots. Probably doesn't matter to him either way to Dan, when the iron was hot he chose to raise $150m at a $1b valuation rather than going the token route because "This will support our work on Farcaster for many years to come" Turns out many years to come meant 19 months. Meanwhile a mismanaged high inflation proxy tipping token traded at $2.38b valuation....more than double his raise valuation. A carefully crafted tokenomics strategy launched earlier would've captured that value and more as well as provided them with levers. Sad to see them waste and mismanage this opportunity only to pivot into a crowded space. Without an incumbent user base or a unique value proposition (ie moonshot captured attention by abstracting the chains entirely and making it normie friendly) then you're just pivoting until the next pivot until your company's inevitable death. RIP in peace Farcaster, we had some fun times.
