@willocallaghan 2/2 that it decreases "jeapordy" are unfounded imo. If anything, it will end dead rubbers that you often see in Round 5. Binning the Head to Head rule will also help in this regard as its a misguided rule that creates dead rubbers.

I think Aaron Gillane is the best forward I've ever seen play the game. Plays up there on his own most of the time. I've never seen a defender get the better of him and he scores from everywhere.

@Briain14 @roryisconfused "based" is a very broad term in this case. Omar was the most unrealistic character (though one of my favourites) in Season one. He added a lot, though was very far removed from any other character.

Something that’s shifted for me while rewatching is that Omar Little’s code becomes increasingly incoherent. Be in the game and only rob people in the game, fine: but why strike out of your patterns for obsessive vendettas whenever they strike back? Like, of course they would?

@roryisconfused Shiiiiiiieeeetttt. I think Omar was a nonsensical character designed to provide menace for the lead criminals. The police, though they always skirted the law never crossed the line when it came to endangering the lives of Avon, Stringer etc. Omar was vital for seasons 1-3

@GarethWheeler The expansion to 48 teams created i think one extra European place. Your first point is completly wrong. It was expanded to infantino would get more votes in obscure countries who typically had no hope of qualifying.

Thoughts on Italy failing to qualify: 1) 48 team World Cup was supposed to prevent this. Already too many minnows at this tournament. Even a mediocre Italy would have made it better 2) Toronto is a loser here. Italian community storyline, gone. Significant economic impact. 1/2

@Zonal_Marking Go have a look at how Sweden have gotten to the World Cup and tell me its not farcical. Intl football is at an all time low and its going to be on show for all to see during the countless low quality group games played in empty stadiums.

@bazlastmanback Well it was a meaningless game. They were knocked out of the competition already. Southgate made 8 changes to the team. All of this is far more relevant. There's really not enough data that they are suddenly better at it.

Penos aren’t a lottery. You can make marginal gains if you put the work in. England’s record was awful before Southgate’s all-encompassing approach to shootouts. From the psychology(your own keeper handing you the ball), to taking your time after the whistle,it all matters.
