@jasonfurman I appreciate the work you do on CNBC. Very level headed and honest opinion always.

The single worst interview I've ever done was with Jon Stewart. I normally try to be calm and level-headed but I basically lost it with him. And worry that I lost viewers/listeners too, doing more to convince them that economists were obnoxious than that we had useful insights.

@SowingAlphaSeed In michigan we had unlimited until a couple years ago. People hated how high the insurance costs were. People don't think about it until they need it.

My buddy got hit by a drunk driver in California. Fortunately she called 911 and stayed with him, otherwise he would have died. But she had the minimum coverage which at the time was $15k for bodily damage (it's now $30k). But you can imagine how far even $30k gets you with every limb and your neck broken. Kind of insane how low insurance minimums are.
Shawn Gorham@shawngorham

Wife and I got rear ended at 40mph today from a dead stop at a light. Car that hit us never hit their brakes. Hispanic, unsure who was the driver, male disappeared quick and left a female (dont think she was the driver), appears unlicensed and uninsured. CA has no consequences, unless you are legal and try and do everything legal, then the law applies to you. But look, not a cloud in the sky and mid 70's - focus on the positive. Oh ya, our car was paid off with 50k miles. New one is $25k more than what they will pay for ours. Just winning over here today.

What if Trump fires Powell and the market doesn't really care all that much? What if the Fed isn't nearly as important as everyone thinks?

@avidresearch Sounds like it will initially focus on 10 house seats and two senate seats. Goal will be to win enough seats to swing votes and influence legislation.

If it gets 20% of vote in middle , will shake up extremes of both established parties that have become very corrupt imo.
Sp3cul8r@sp3cul8r

The #AmericaParty has been formed. This will be super interesting. It will end up re-shaping politics in my opinion, mainly because it will likely begin to pull votes from both existing parties. If this party makes fixing the debt it’s #1 focus, it has a chance in 2028

@awealthofcs I heard Jeremy Siegel talk about how when you value a stock. Each earnings year is worth 5%. So even if you think the next two years earnings drop 10-20% before recovering to a normal trajectory. It should only hit intrinsic value a few percent. A lot of movement is sentiment.

Ok this is kind of nuts. Here’s a basic flight simulator built with AI in 3 hours. Making games is usually measured in months or years. The world is about to get very wild.

@TheCompoundNews @wesbury @Downtown @michaelbatnick This guest seemed out there. His world outlook was coloring a lot of his opinions rather than data. Crazy ideas like going back on the gold standard. Not one of the best episodes.

@Biohazard3737 The stock is most likely going to do nothing until the approval. FDA may give them a CRL for manufacturing. My guess is it does nothing for the next 10 months unless bought out. I would be more likely to buy as we get closer to launch.

@atlcontrarian Doubt it, not enough cash flow to cover their debt and capex. Interest rate increases will crush any positive cash flow they have as they refinance debt. Headed toward restructuring.

This is one of the best "screens" I have seen for Buffett-type stock ideas What stocks (if any) are going to be: • 15x EPS next year • 90% sure to have higher EPS in 5 years • 50/50 chance of compounding at 7% a year Name some stocks that fit this screen!

@jq1234t @bradloncar Listened to $ASND 2Q call a bit -then decide to read the transcript instead -CEO did the usual rambling/nonsense - sky- launch is piss poor - cash burn is horrific - they have lots of debts on the balance sheet - nobody believes they will get to cash flow +ve as they claim soon.

@TheBio_Hunter I have been loading it up down here. When proof of concept data is released at the end of the year they should still have 50-60 million in cash. So even if data fails they should still be able to liquidate the company and give shareholders a good portion of their money back.
