@HMRCcustomers @HMRCcustomers Self assessment told me to try the chat. I tried it yesterday after they said it was still open -- it was not. I have just tried it and just got this. This is beyond absurd.

@HMRCcustomers I've literally spent a total of 5+ hours on the phone trying to get in touch with self assessment on multiple occasions, and I never get through. I was supposed to be called back today, and no one called. What am I supposed to do???

@HMRCcustomers @HMRCcustomers I have literally spent nearly 10 hours now trying to resolve this. I called yesterday and got through to Self Assessment after being told to call Self Assessment by PAYE. Self Assessment told me to call PAYE. I just called PAYE and it says no advisors are available

@HMRCcustomers I have been on hold today for over an hour. On Friday I was on hold for 1.5 hours and then it disconnected when your office shut. This is ridiculous. I have called like 8 times now.

@HMRCcustomers It was in response to a specific question about a tax refund that I am due that has not happened. I spoke to them Monday and only got through by being transfered from another team, and they were supposed to call me back at 2:45 today. It is impossible to get in touch with you.
