Today, the GOP Doctors Caucus hosted health care industry leaders in artificial intelligence (AI) to discuss digital innovation, regulatory oversight, and challenges of integration. AI is an exciting tool that has the potential to improve American medicine and refine patient care. Administrative augmentation, streamlined prior authorization processes, and diagnostic assistance are transformational developments around the corner. To best cultivate the potential of AI, private industry must partner with physicians, supported by attentive federal policy that enables growth while safeguarding patient access and care. “The GOP Doctors Caucus is excited by the immense potential of artificial intelligence in the field of medicine," said Co-Chairs Murphy, M.D. & Joyce, M.D. “The United States desperately needs downward pressure on rising costs and rising disparities in access to care, especially for those in rural and underserved communities. NEW: The Stray Kids concert at Nats Park has turned into a mass casualty incident due to the heat. A mass casualty incident, or MCI, is a fire and EMS term used to identify an incident with a large number of victims. In this case, a "casualty" is anyone who is injured or ill in connection with the incident. @dcfireems has sent various EMS units there all day to first deal with people falling ill while waiting in long lines. Over the last hour, there have been numerous heat related calls in and around the stadium and Metro. They are now merged into one event with a significant number of fire and EMS units sent to the area. You will find lots of complaints on social media about the handling of today's event by stadium staff.
