@Boenau When I’ve talked to transportation officials about speed cameras, a common response is: ‘drivers will just learn where the speed cameras are and slow down and then speed when they’re in the clear’ and I’m like, yes! That is exactly what want! Strategically placed cameras.

Americans are in a tough spot, because the more time spent driving, the easier it is to succumb to Car Brain. And most have no choice but to drive everywhere for everything. Car Brain won’t be cured overnight, but treatments (e.g. speed cameras) can start immediately.
