So the Lord God came down to see the AI they were building without proper regard for God or neighbor and he confused their language models.

Right-wingers declaring that you should eat like you've been conquered is proof positive that they're collaborators with the people whom they believe conquered us

The shuttering of the Schlitz brand reminds me of the late Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Milton Faymie, who always insisted on drinking Schlitz between innings while he was pitching. Unfortunately, he overdid it during one game. He walked the bases loaded, then walked in the winning run. And the opponents cheered: "Schlitz! The beer that made Mil Faymie walk us!"

Massie lost by 10 points. It's not Cheney losing by 38, but it's way more of a win than you'd expect against an incumbent free of scandal. Just goes to show the discourse here can be rather out of touch with normie Republicans. Based on this site you'd expect Massie to win big

@davidpdeavel I've hardly worked a factory floor. But I'm very tired. I don't think I'd have 25 years in Florida. I think I'd have 10 years in Southwest Texas.

@davidpdeavel It's a very good thought exercise. I will say that I've worked, in some combination, something close to 16-20 hour days for most of my working life so far; and the exception now is that I help care for the kids as much as I do actual, unevenly stimulating work.

In Moby Dick, Melville describes the “try-works,” fiery and foul-smoking brick furnaces on The Pequod used to boil down whale blubber into oil. They use dried scraps of whale itself to keep the fires going. Then there is this Dantean section which Melville drops this flabbergasting, amazing prose.
