BREAKING: DOT confirms to us that the truck driver who allegedly kiIIed 21-year-old UMass goalie and rising soccer star Tobias Forsythe, FAILED AN ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TEST.
The driver was Uzbek national Bekhzod Asrarov.
DOT tells me he FAILED an English language proficiency test and couldn’t understand officers when they arrived at the scene of the crash.
He was granted a CDL in Ohio.

I visited Detective Carroll at the hospital today, and I’m grateful his bulletproof vest protected him from more serious injury. I’m keeping him and his loved ones in my thoughts as he recovers. I’m thankful to Detective Carroll and every member of the NYPD working to keep New Yorkers safe through a busy holiday weekend. Every New Yorker deserves to come home safely at the end of the day. This Haitian illegal alien truck driver, who was given a CDL by Massachusetts, STRUCK AND KILLED a Pennsylvania State Trooper.
The illegal alien, Michael Bon, veered into the right-hand shoulder and struck Trooper Michael Pahira as Pahira was conducting a routine commercial inspection.
Bon was ALLOWED into our nation by the Biden Administration in 2024 as a parolee. In June 2025, his parole was terminated, but Bon REFUSED to leave the country.
This tragedy NEVER should have happened. Our prayers are with Trooper Pahira’s family, friends, and loved ones during this time.
