@timdavis640 @A_Tass1 @nick_coatsworth New Zealand does 6 months for the COCP, 3 months for normal medications and 1 month for controlled drugs. Australia is living in the past with its model of monthly dispensing for every prescription – and it's purely in place to protect the profits of the pharmacy oligopoly.

It is multilayered and $ at every level. Truth, facts and evidence do not sway the political class alas.

You don't deal with health workforce problems by replacing delayed care with dangerous care. Pharmacists are not qualified to safely diagnose & treat the conditions listed in this release. They work well with doctors, but they're not doctors. #springst

@DanielAndrewsMP If it’s a matter of convenience as mentioned 👆🏼 wouldn’t it be MORE convenient to have multiple scripts dispensed at the same time? That way you get the safety of 6 monthly review at your #GP, without the hassle of monthly trips to the chemist!? @DanielAndrewsMP
