Some personal news to share. My regular column with La Presse has been suspended indefinitely this week, after 25 years and more than 1,000 columns. This was not my decision. The decision is linked to recent public comments I made on social media regarding the evolving media landscape in Canada, including reflections on government support for media and its potential implications. I understand that these are sensitive and complex issues, and my remarks may not have aligned with the publication’s perspective. While I am disappointed, I fully respect their decision and remain grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to contribute over the years. I would also like to note that my contributions were always made on a voluntary basis. I was never compensated for my columns, and have personally supported La Presse through a paid subscription throughout that time. It has truly been a privilege to write for such an important institution. I continue to believe that open, thoughtful discussions about the future of media in Canada are both necessary and healthy.

Did you know the United Nations has a roadmap to transform the entire organization into Sharia-compliant funding and projects across every single UN agency and body? These are not individual agency initiatives. This comes from the very top of the organization as a global initiative. And because donations are not enough, they also want to tap into people’s accumulated wealth and property after they die as a source of “funding.” In 2022, a roadmap document detailing how to transition the entire United Nations into Sharia-compliant programs and funding sources was presented. One of the goals is to “accumulate” wealth for the UN and its Sharia programs, including its Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and “the public good.” The UN aims to tap into an estimated pool of money worth more than half a trillion per year, along with an estimated one trillion in already accumulated real estate, wealth, and assets. The goal is to accumulate and manage all that wealth under the principles of “the Holy Quran,” because, according to the document, there is a “paradigm with capitalism.” Currently, four UN agencies (UNRWA, UNICEF, UNHCR, IOM) officially have Sharia-compliant frameworks and programs. A few other agencies, such as UNICEF, WFP, UN Women, UNDP, and others, are in the pilot stage. WHO is apparently in the initial stages of planning. These Sharia-compliant programs inherently discriminate against non-Muslims. In addition, the UN has formed partnerships and MOUs with organizations tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, which makes it even more problematic. I repeat, I can trace this entire initiative back to at least 2015, when it was first presented to the UN General Assembly Fourth Committee (Decolonization). For ten years, the UN has been planning and building these mechanisms in the open, with member states receiving all the details about it, both in writing and in some cases as open debates, sessions, and meetings, but nobody in our government thought this was outrageous and unacceptable? Our taxes are being used to build a global communist sharia-compliant organization. What is the next step? If you are not an Islamic country, we will have no vote & be mandated to pay jizya "contribution"? The United Nations cannot be reformed. @AmbUNReform @USAmbUN @michaelgwaltz @UNWatch @NGOmonitor @HillelNeuer @LauraLoomer @EFischberger @AmyMek @RAIRFoundation @HouseGOP @SenateGOP @StateDept @SecRubio @LeoTerrellDOJ @BillAckman @realDonaldTrump

@jonkay @NDP The cards had a point system, white cis men got zero points, white cis women got one point, unless they had red haired. I’ve tried to find that report, I’ll accept correction, but I believe it cuz they’re just that silly.

Yesterday when changing genders, my previous gender failed to detach, leaving me double-gendered. The doctors are now going to attempt a controlled misgendering of my old gender whilst keeping my new gender affirmed by singing a medley of Sam Smith's songs.

@TFL1728 Alberta Premier Smith has ruled no police forces will be confiscating guns from homes. BTW she also ruled for right to defend against home invaders and MAiD will only be used if death is certain within a year and cannot be use for mental illness. She’s our DeSantis. 😃

Watching the NDP leadership convention in Winnipeg this weekend, I felt more sad than anything else, honestly, I did. It was so frustrating to watch - and tempting as it is to say a lot of disparaging things, let’s take the high road. What troubles me isn't just silly partisan stuff. It's how far we've drifted from the simple idea that every Canadian should be treated as an individual, not some demographic checkbox. When they start handing out those equity cards and arguing over who gets to speak first based on identity, it doesn't feel like progress anymore. It's just dividing Canadians into groups - literally picking winners and losers. We used to judge people on their character, their skills, and what they actually do. I don't know when we decided to stop doing that. I want every Canadian - Black, White, immigrant, Indigenous, gay, straight, man or woman - to have a fair shot in life. We can all succeed and thrive! That was the promise of the civil rights era and the Canadian dream. Why are we replacing it with this permanent grievance scorekeeping? It doesn't lift people up. It just tells them their future is already capped by the group they were born into. If diversity is supposed to be our strength, why does this version demand that everyone repeat the exact same script? Disagreeing on policy or even basic biology isn't hate. It's called debate. Shutting people down with labels like phobia or privilege isn't progressive. It's just shutting down real conversation. Look at what this means for regular folks. Girls losing fair spots in sports and safe spaces because of biological males. Qualified people getting passed over for jobs or training just to hit some quota instead of picking the best person. While we're arguing over pronouns and microaggressions, families can't afford groceries or rent, housing costs are through the roof, and kids are falling behind in school. Part of the reason for this is we have stopped being honest. This isn't leadership. It's distraction from the things that actually matter. Not everybody gets a trophy and that’s ok - it makes it more meaningful when you put the effort in to achieve your dream. We need to get back to teaching that. A lot of working-class families, new immigrants who came here to escape real problems, and even some longtime feminists are walking away from this stuff for the same reason. They want practical solutions, not identity games. Most Canadians, no matter which party they lean toward, still believe in simple fairness and judging people on merit instead of skin color or identity. Conservatives aren't against anybody. We just refuse to pretend that biology isn't real, that we should erase women's categories, or that every single gap between groups is because of systemic racism instead of things like culture, family, or personal choices. Facts aren't hate. Ignoring them to protect a narrative is. If you are not political and are confused by all that - just hear this one point. Conservatives don’t care what sex, gender, race, skin color, or high heels people choose - we just will not participate in someone else’s chosen narrative and desire. Live and let live - but don’t tell me what I have to say, think, do, and believe. A child calling him or herself a furry is never going to be supported or normalized by conservatives. If a family chooses this - they have every right to I suppose - but I am not living into it. The NDP just showed us their path this weekend. The rest of us can choose a better one: treat every person with basic dignity, reward hard work and merit, and build real equality under the law. That's the Canada worth fighting for. Let's end the division and get back to what actually works for all of us. There’s a reason Canadians were revered on the battle fields in the World Wars. It’s our grit - it’s our heart - it’s our bloody can-do, get out of my way, and watch me figure out a way through this challenge attitude. It’s time we got back to that.

@fooddyedanger @McAllisterBruce The chair of the convention explained but not mentioned here is closing rape crisis centre because it didn’t allow men. We have equal rights for all, but you and the NDP want privileges over white women and especially white men. You stand with tyranny, please wake up.

🧵Alot of people are having a good laugh right now at the antics at the convention of Canada's New Democratic Party (the NDP). I particular, this woman, who has chaired the convention. Her name is Adrienne Smith, and while the clips may be funny, there is nothing funny about her agenda or the influence she wields. 1/9

Camus@newstart_2024

Konstantin Kisin made a point that cuts to the heart of one of the most forbidden conversations in the West today. He argued that much of our current cultural tension stems from an unspoken assumption: that all groups of people are not just equal in dignity and rights, but essentially the same in their aptitudes and outcomes. When reality shows persistent group differences — whether in sports, professions, or other fields — we’re left scrambling for explanations that avoid cultural or, God forbid, genetic factors. Kisin referenced Thomas Sowell’s observation that different groups naturally excel in different areas: Germans dominating global brewing (including China’s Tsingtao), Latinos overrepresented in baseball, white people in hockey, Black people in the NBA. These patterns, he says, are the normal human condition, not evidence of systemic failure. The problem arises, he suggests, when a society insists that any deviation from perfect uniformity must be explained by oppression or discrimination, rather than accepting that people and groups simply differ in strengths and interests. It’s a provocative take on why honest discussion about group differences has become so difficult. What do you think — are group differences in outcomes mostly cultural and environmental, or do we need to be more open to the possibility that biology and natural aptitudes also play a role?

“A gallon of jet fuel contains 34 kilowatt-hours of energy in a package weighing six pounds. A lithium-ion battery storing the same energy weighs 250 pounds. That density gap is why every military on earth runs on liquid hydrocarbons, why every container ship crossing the Pacific burns bunker fuel, why every combine harvester in Iowa runs on diesel, and why every 747 landing at Heathrow runs on kerosene. The fact that nobody wages war over solar panels is evidence of their limitations not superiority.” —@Shellenberger open.substack.com/pub/public/p/2…

Still wondering where your tax money is going? Carney’s been funnelling it to his wife’s companies since 2020! This year he added $10 Billion to the budget to fund the same companies his wife and friends are key stakeholders in. And it’s all on the government website👇

@ConceptualJames It was a point system, white women nearly the fewest points, less for a redheaded woman. Zero points for a white man. Then they elected a white man to lead the party. Federally the NDP are broke and are facing extinction, they no longer have official party status. Any wonder?

PM Mark Carney speaks of the dangers of climate change and how we all have to change our behaviours. Yet his actions are totally at odds with his words. His directorship at Brookfield was characterized by environmental devastation and questionable ethics. Brookfield slashed and burned Brazilian rainforest, refused to remediate it, violated indigenous rights, avoided billions of dollars in Canadian taxes, and destroyed thousands of hectares of virgin land to generate “green” energy. It would appear that his apparent concern for the environment is in fact based in greed and merely couched in faux environmentalism. Yet we, the little people, have to pay for the myriad of green scams which permeate the Federal Government’s policies.

@walterkirn @JanJekielek There’s talk of MAiD coming for babies if doctors deem it necessary, and without consent of the parents. 😳 The premier of Alberta has just ordered MAiD will only be allowed if death is certain within a year and outlawed MAiD for mental illness. Conservatives are standing up.

If you receive a nice fresh organ from a depressed teen euthanized in a government program, what are you? Alive or dead?
Kentucky Girl@Notwokenow

According to @AwakenedOutlaw’s information, Canada is “studying” MAiD for children. Children. They want to euthanize CHILDREN. They call them “mature minors.” And PARENTS WOULD HAVE NO SAY. They would be EXCLUDED from the process. This is a half step from Hell.
