I LOVE the Nussmeier pick and don't understand anyone complaining about it. A late 7th rounder is a dart throw and they took a QB that Dane Brugler and the KC Draft Guide had as QB3 and a 3rd rd grade. Groom him for a year and he takes over the QB2 in 2027.

@mahomesdahgoat Part of the reason I think this is a multi-year thing is that we all know you can’t realistically put this pressure on a bunch of rookies. 22 was historic for a reason because rookies don’t come in and contribute at that amount or success rate.

@TJFsports kinda wonder if the story they told themselves is that last year was simply a worst case scenario in the receiver room. suspension, injury, coaching – all hindrances. so, you dramatically update the run game to make things easier, shift the mentality a bit, and invest on defense.

The pendulum swing on Rashee Rice from Chiefs Twitter has been something to see. He went from incredibly overrated to now very underrated. He’s healthy, no suspension cloud over his head and it’s contract time. This is when dudes usually put it together.

@bluebirdmyna Reid’s EPA/Pass ranks, he’s never been this Shanny never been someone who you can just give anything to and thrive. He needs an alpha WR for any iteration of his offense to function. Same with Spags. They’re both more critically acclaimed than objectively excellent most years.

The Chiefs picking Jadon Canady, best suited to play in the slot, doesn’t make you feel great about Chris Roland-Wallace’s future or the Kader Kohou signing! Fine player, but was this necessary for a team that could DESPERATELY use another long-term pass catcher at TE or WR?

Am I surprised it’s been essentially all defense this year? Absolutely. Lotta pressure for instant-impact offensive improvement next off-season but the def *should* be set.

Yes the run game sucked but we can’t let it overshadow that the passing concepts were embarrassing. Just awful.

@zackeisen21 The biggest problem for the Chiefs offense was no run threat. Had no breakaway runs, defenses didn't even think about the run. Biggest defensive problem was a slow dline.
