@tyagiro31 Tbh I think you need to be a publicly traceable person if you’re gonna share something like this: profile photo, place of work, verifiable links to credible organisations

read about the yesterday's TanStack/npm supply-chain incident? check YOUR machine. I made a small CLI for this: npx supply-chain-attack It looks for known compromised package versions, cache hits, global installs, npx traces, and suspicious files from recent supply chain attacks. no telemetry. local scan only.

Ok reply solution is: Make a central URL somewhere that you host the model you use and then curl that regularly when you use a model on any of your sites so you can centrally change it

With xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic's models updating regularly, do I have to keep changing the 'model'=>'gpt-4-1-fast-non-reasoning' name for example in my code on ALL my sites for the next 100 years? Or can I just say 'model'=> use best or something? And no I don't wanna use OpenRouter, I just wanna use whatever is the best but affordable model There's so many places in my code on so many of my sites where I have to change this and they do deprecate models regularly so it's like breaking changes

Every post, I block and report a couple accounts using AI-generated replies. It feels much the same as picking up litter on a city street; I don't know if it has any effect, but it feels like I ought to at least try to keep the site clean.

You realize it's only next-token prediction? That that's ACTUALLY all it does, for real? How is any of this even real.

feels like a good time to seriously rethink how operating systems and user interfaces are designed (also the internet; there should be a protocol that is equally usable by people and agents)

On AI, it seems it is the left that is moving first to take a position, which is anti. The right doesn't yet have a position, but will predictably react to left's position, to become pro. This supports @bryan_caplan's view that the left is anti-market, while right is anti-left.

Silicon Valley predicts that AI will create the first "one-person billion-dollar company" very soon. But if Claude allows literally anyone to build complex software over the weekend for $20... Who exactly is going to buy their product to make them a billionaire?
