Actually outrageous for that goal to stand Ball is controlled in the box with an arm Yet, United given the goal There is zero consistency in decision making, match to match

@sufferingspurs As per the rules, any offensive play leading to goal that involves handball [intentional or not], gets ruled out [i think]. So yes the goal shouldn’t have stood. But it was a logical decision & I hope there’s a rule change to give such goals in future.

This goal was given by the way. It seems you are now allowed to catch the ball as long as you’re not actually the goal scorer. We need to remove the PGMOL and start all over again. They are destroying our game and the funny thing is, if you say anything disparaging about them, you get banned or fined. Even if it’s completely true. End the VAR experiment. Everyone hates it

@mancityneil @AnnieEaves She didn't say he knows less, just that in this instance his explanation was inadequate. I agree with her, you can't explain decisions merely by vibes.

@maxbscott Why should accidental 'handball' be penalised? If it accidentally hits your arse, you don't get penalised. The arms are no more malicious than the arse unless used to intentionally gain an advantage. You can't leave them in your locker.

Michael Salisbury overrules VAR because he says Mbuemo accidentally handled the ball. Surely a professional, top level official knows it doesn’t need to be intentional to be handball. One of the most astonishing, delusional calls I’ve ever seen.

@iancharris @prodnose But the simple way can only be if the arm moves towards the ball and as I've tried to point out that can appear to be the case with or without intent (if you try to move arm away and it's struck by ball, it 'looks' like you've moved arm towards ball.)

@EdDWoodJr @prodnose There has to be a simple way of deciding it that can be I understood and agreed on by players and spectators. It's like offside we make it far too complex.

I hate Forest & am glad they lost, but: The ball is moving fast towards Mbeumo, his arm in the position it was, wasn't moved out of the way, it was kept in place which allowed him to control the ball & bring it down to shoot. If his arm is NOT in that position, the ball bounces off his hip and away from him. His arm therefor allowed for him to control the ball. End of convo.

FA Rules - Accidental Build-up: If a teammate accidentally handles the ball earlier in the attacking sequence (before the immediate build-up), the goal will stand.

@terryflewers HE CONTROLLED IT WITH HIS ARM. CONTROLLED IT. IT CANT BE ACCIDENTAL IF HE LITERALLY TRAPS IT UNDER HIS ARM.

@DaleJohnsonBBC My principle (which imo the rules should reflect better) is no outfield player should be gaining advantage by use of hand/arm. All these subjective interpretations about intent (impossible to know...) just create inconsistency and rage. But maybe that's the intent..!! 🤣🤣

If Bryan Mbeumo was a defender there's no way his handball would be considered a penalty. So why should it lead to a disallowed goal? Put simply, football has different expectations for attackers. But it can't even make its mind up. Analysis 👇 bbc.co.uk/sport/football… #MUNNFO

@iancharris @prodnose No no no. 99% of times a moving arm makes contact with a moving ball the arm will have moved towards the ball REGARDLESS OF INTENT (the other 1% when ball hits arm moving away from ball, many people will still see intent).

@prodnose Surely it can't be too difficult for anyone to take a decision on intent? Movement of and / arm to ball or hand / arm deliberately blocking the ball away from the body.

@prodnose The law also states, in an attacking sense, that intent is irrelevant, if the ball hits the hand/arm which directly leads to a shot/goal, the goal shall be ruled out

@prodnose That is part of the problem. Who handles the ball intentionally? If that’s interpreted as it is written there would be virtually no handball decisions.

@prodnose Did you make this argument in Feb 2022 when the same handball rule went against @ManUtd in an FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough ? Let's be consistent because I don't remember the outrage 4 years ago.

Its insane, enraging, that the Mbeumo handball is ruled as legitimate play. It's crazy. Idiotic. 100% wrong. Football has fallen into the hands of a small, distant elite who inform us what we have witnessed. We, supporters, apparently just accept this because we are helpless.

Wildstream Circling the Square maths/authority.
no such thing as artificial intelligence, ya dill, just more stolen valor, do they still use circles and squares? numbers? the wheel. what you are talking about, is the false idol. "the science" but Man did not invent the wheel. he did discover the circle and it property. A circle was a circle before the big bang, a circle will be a circle forever more. what you are missing is the WISDOM. heart centered.

@yatesy79 @oilysailor Nope, perfectly reasonable not to give either penalty under current rules, tho i understand SFA officials take a strict (more ridiculous) line. It was mainly a dig at handball situation, but Celtic player is deluded if doesn't realise they got a massive helping 'hand' (boom boom)

@EdDWoodJr @oilysailor Accidental or not, they the laws of the game. Celtic don’t make those, they just play by them. Been done enough times for decisions like that in their own box. Hearts should have wrapped it up weeks ago if it wasn’t for their away form

If Aston Villa win the Europa League I believe it was a harder road to victory than the winners of the European Cup in 1982 Look at the teams we have played and beaten Feyenord, Basel, Bologne, Forest, Lille, Tel Aviv, Salzburg #avfc have been incredible in this tournament
