What is your youth plan as it relates to youth gang violence? Overall youth victims and youth perpetrators of crimes is out of control in NYC. Family court is not effective as well as juvenile facilities are failing drastically as per the last @NYC_DOI report.

I have been briefed on the shooting this evening on an A train in Queens, where a 15-year-old was shot. I am relieved he is expected to survive. This was an unacceptable incident; violence like this has no place on our subway system, and my administration is committed to doing everything in our power to make every New Yorker—especially children—safe on their daily commutes. The NYPD is investigating the shooting, and our administration will share more information as appropriate.
