VerticalScope, behind 1,200+ online communities, made some interesting comments about recent Google updates. They also announced they're purchasing over 20 forums from Enthused Digital for "around $5M". Some highlights from their Q4 earnings update: - Q4 revenue increased 11% to $19.9M 💰 - Record 114 million monthly active users (up 6% YoY) 📈 - Adjusted EBITDA for Q4 increased 22% to $10.1M 📈 - Full year revenue increased 13% to $69.1M 📊 - Full year 2024 net loss of $15,900 (a $4.9M improvement) 💵 It shouldn't be a surprise they talk positively about their own position on investor calls, but they also said, "And particularly now, people want to go deeper on topics they love. And they want those nuanced answers that frankly, AI just can't give with any credibility. So they're coming to forums. They want to find, is this a good product from people that have actually used it?" The new communities they're buying reached 3.5M monthly active users in 2024.
