Hear me out. What if we made NASA Administrator an elected position, by the people, similar to that of a Governor / Congressman? Separate the appointment from the executive branch. The entire country votes for this person every 6 years. We need a continued focus to build bases on the Moon and Mars. The potential for leadership to change every 4 years is disruptive. Additionally, as citizens begin living in orbit and other heavenly bodies they will need a person on Earth to represent their interests. I don't want Jared in the White House, I want him where he is now, executing at the highest levels and at the speed necessary to dominate this new space race. 🇺🇸

To build a sustained human presence on the Moon, we are building @NASAMoonBase, prioritizing surface operations and scalable infrastructure. - Frequent robotic landings and mobility testing including MoonFall drones - Starting in 2027 nearly monthly cadence of equipment and rovers with scientific payloads landing on the Moon. - Investments in power, communications, and surface mobility - Scalable infrastructure to support long-term human presence The objective is clear: build the foundation for an enduring lunar base and take the next step toward Mars.

So what does Canada do with their 1 billion dollar Candarm 3 now? CSA could sell it to CLD provider but will take a massive loss, not a whole lot of demand out there for a highly specialized space arm.

“We should build a moon base” “Actually, let’s not go back to the Moon. Mars or bust” “Wait no, let’s do an asteroid” “Actually, back to the Moon. Except we don’t land and build a space station” “Maybe we use the space station to stage landers?” “We should build a moon base”

America gave up the stars to instead subsidize the favela, ending Apollo to fund the Great Society We must reverse that We must return to being the Aerospace Republic It is our destiny

@NASAAdmin @JAXA_en The whole Lunar Base Surface Architecture in one slide. 🚀🌖 $30B investment in total. Many opportunities for commercial lunar companies. International partners opportunities were not well identified.

Something is wrong, how did we end up in the timeline where NASA is actually doing things and is locking in after 4 decades of stagnation????? Gateway dying to be repurposed is fucking insane and was unbelievable a year ago.
