Can confirm the deployment of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit from California has been sped up to occur within days, per two officials.
The task force, with about 4,500 sailors and Marines, is expected to head across the Pacific, eventually replacing the 31st MEU in the Middle East. The 31st MEU was dispatched a week or so ago and is closing in on the region now.
Seems possible the two ARG/MEUs overlap for a time, depending on what form operations take. But unclear at this time.
Each MEU includes an infantry battalion landing team of about 800 Marines with aviation and logistics support.

🚨Crews at risk in the Gulf🚨
Just heard from a crewmember on one of the 3,200 ships stuck in the Persian Gulf.
A ship called the local port authority requested permission to dock as they had run out of water.
They were denied permission!
Multiple ships are in the same condition, with stores, food and fuel running low.
Ports are overwhelmed and security is such that they are refusing permission for ships to dock.
Crews cannot get off and reliefs cannot fly in.
What is being done to address this matter @POTUS @SecWar @SecDuffy @DOTMARAD @IMOSecGen @IMOHQ.

A US F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at US air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for US Central Command, said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing. Hawkins said the aircraft landed safely, and the incident is under investigation
“The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added.
The incident would be the first time Iran has hit a US aircraft in the war started in late February. Both the US and Israel are flying F-35s in the conflict; the aircraft costs upwards of $100 million.
