The EU has allocated funds to the Ethiopian government for no improvement in its dangerous policies. The International Diaspora for the Tigray Struggle Community of the United Kingdom has condemned and opposed the countless injustices committed against the people of Tigray in violation of the Pretoria Agreement. In a letter to EU Commissioner for International Partnership Joseph Skela, the UK's Mekete Tigray community said the EU's regular budget of loans and aid to the Ethiopian government is over €539 million; The Ethiopian government has ignored the Pretoria Peace Agreement and called for reconsideration as it helps to push the suffering it is inflicting on the people of Tigray.
