@SuperSisi @liv0bsessed @grok I mean, I hope you didn't permanently mark your account as adult. The algo might see you as someone who frequently engages with adult content now.

@SuperSisi @liv0bsessed @grok Honestly, retweeting porn every day might be hindering your account. I've never seen so much porn on my feed since you started sharing it constantly.

Mackenzie Shirilla, an Ohio teenager, convicted of murder in August 2023 for intentionally crashing her car at high speed, killing two passengers inside.  “Data retrieved from the car's event data recorder (the "black box") revealed that Shirilla floored the accelerator to its full extent, reaching speeds of 100 mph down an obscure business park street. She drove the car directly into a brick building without ever hitting the brakes. Both Russo and Flanagan were pronounced dead at the scene, while Shirilla survived with serious injuries.”

@theo I’m not a dev or anything. Just a very advanced prosumer. Codex is just so much easier to use right now. I don’t understand the infatuation many have with Claude code and the family of Claude Apps. They just aren’t as good.

Little update: This two week original content experiment is the worst experience ever 🤣 It would be find if X actually pushed it but. it does not. At all! everything is down to the floor - no new follows - reposts are less than 10 - impressions struggle get 4K per post - total impressions down 10000% basically it does nothing to help you I will finish the experiment but if any one is thinking of trying it I would Now half way through say DON’T DO IT! It does not work and what X promised does not work I only say this because my acc usually has a lot of power with things like fun gaming clips , history details, information, funny videos and more.. but because I strictly not use any piece of other material I can not use any of it I feel the whole acc gone underwater and I hope for 7 more days can end this test. It is really not fun 🙈
SuperSisi@SuperSisi

These next two weeks I’m taking one for the team! 😄 Quick background: I’ve been paid for posting on X in the past. After April 11, my earnings dropped ~90%. I’m completely fine with that — I’m extremely grateful to Elon. I was here long before monetization, and I’d stay even if it disappeared. X is still my favorite platform. That said, I strongly suspect many accounts (including mine) are now effectively blacklisted. I want to test it. Over the past two weeks I increased pure original content by ~30% (streams, gaming clips, photos, questions, and interactions). Impressions stayed similar, but my earnings fell even further. There was zero benefit. I don’t think original content is the issue — many small accounts are doing well with it, and I’ve seen plenty of examples. **My experiment:** For the next two weeks I will post **only 100% original content**. If you enjoy my posts and feel comfortable, please retweet them. If I get little or nothing, it supports my theory: either the AI can’t reliably detect original content, or my account (and many others) is blacklisted regardless of what I post. At the end I’ll share the results and write a wrap-up article. I’ll tag relevant affected accounts. This will probably cost me meaningful earnings (and Soba’s cat food money 😅), but someone has to run the test. Thanks for reading! (I wrote this in my native language and used AI to translate/polish the English.)” -—-

The sad part is you're accepting that slop is more engaging than what you can create. Original content isn't automatically engaging just because it's original. You need more substance than reposts and AI anime girls. 2 weeks isn't enough time to develop an original voice. It can take months of real work, and people are on this platform doing it. You have to ask: is it the algorithm, or is it the audience? If the goal is to game X and make money, do what you gotta do. But know that the account you're growing isn't you, it's just a reposting machine, not much different from the algorithm itself. Personally I think your persona of a 1cc gamer IS interesting but you have to really build it and create a real audience, not one that just vanishes as soon as you stop slop posting.

@DanXAura It is a shame really because we must go with what is popular or you will never grow your acc.. but if they actually do promote original content then that would be such a happy thing But now.. no. It has no power here

I don’t want to know what the grifter or platform manipulator is doing. They don't deserve any place here. Period. As Head of Product, I just want one thing Give everyone a true level playing field. If someone’s content shoots up organically, cool. If someone’s content tanks, that’s also fine. [out of my 4K followers at least 500-1K could see my posts] And until now, have you ever praised even a single person who is actually doing good work. Someone who is putting in the time to create content and doing everything organically? I don’t think you have. If I missed it, please correct me. I would love to know. Also I don’t want to hear that the Head of Product is mocking anyone. If someone is gaming the system, you have the power to limit them, deboost them, shadowban them and if they still don’t stop, suspend them forever. That’s it. [to be honest, you can't mock someone for sharing excessively especially on 𝕏]

I posted 10 AI videos yesterday, reposted someone else’s TikTok, and schedule-posted 4 jokes that went viral in 2016. Why am I not famous yet? App is broken.

During the development of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Nintendo devs flew to the U.S. to meet Retro Studios artists and handed them pantone chips for DK's fur colour. The devs thought that was weird cause once you add lighting it won't look like that anyway lol.

@kiwitalkz I'm genuinely puzzled by their comment on this. Like, especially in modern PBR workflows, this is the whole point- you establish the base color and properties of a material to ensure it behaves predictably no matter the lighting. I don't understand why they think it didn't matter

i will defend mixtape: that clip going around of the no fail state running? imo it actually shows multiple fail states. sometimes the point of a linear narrative is to act out ie “play” the scene so it feels right. not controlling and letting stacey crash looks bad! failure!

I mean, firefox is what, ~25ish million lines of code? in aerospace, the target was ~0.5 defects per 1000 lines of code. Apply that to firefox numbers and you get ~10,000 bugs. aero code was also held to a ridiculous standard, commercial software is probably 5x worse than that. it's also probably non-linear, the bigger your codebase the faster the rate goes up

@MatthewBerman @AOC Has any human on earth ever "earned" a billion? Is someone going to say Beyonce works millions of times harder than a soldier or a guy doing road work in the freezing rain?

Someone can certainly *make* a billion dollars. That’s not the same thing as earning. Growing fast and disrupting markets also often means chasing and wielding market power, political influence, and scale. Take Airbnb. They heavily lobby politicians against passing housing laws to protect working class residents because it’s bad for their business model. Airbnb could not exist at its current scale and size without the housing market destabilizations, displacements, and exploits that are supercharging the evictions of working people everywhere from Puerto Rico to Jackson Hole. Now young people are planning for a future where they will never be able to afford to own a home while others have 20 and live off renting it out to them at extortionate rates with zero protections. Yes, a tiny amount of people can make billions of dollars doing that. And millions of everyday Americans are bearing the cost.
Paul Graham@paulg

Sure you can earn a billion dollars. I've been teaching people how to do it for 20 years. The way you do it is to start a company that grows fast. You don't have to do anything bad to make a company grow fast. You just have to make something people want. paulgraham.com/ace.html

I have a hunch about what this vague hint is meant to convey: OpenAI’s super app is coming. The reference calls to mind Sam Altman’s Death Star meme.
