A New York bill would ban AI from answering questions related to several licensed professions like medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, psychology, social work, engineering, and more. The companies would be liable if the chatbots give “substantive responses” in these areas.

If enacted, LB16 would be one of the BEST license recognition reforms in the country. Recognition is already working in AZ, with over 8,000 workers safely licensed since 2019. Can't wait to see what it could do for Nebraska. Great piece, @patrickmgleason! @Laura_Ebke #neleg
