Or how there is no train between Jacksonville and Atlanta, you have to go to DC.

We already have almost every major city connected, of which these cities have their own rail systems in place, usually. It’s unrealistic to build a system that can bring you within a few miles of every city because the United States has a much sparser population density compared to any European country.
