Trump will Taco. The tell is that his rhetoric gets increasingly deranged the worse things are going for him - that's how he negotiates. He has to make everyone believe he has genuinely lost the plot. If the Iranians think he's mentally unwell they might actually believe he'll nuke them. Hence why his tweets the past few days sound like a madman about to destroy their civilisation. He's not gonna drop a nuke, this is just how he negotiates when he has no actual leverage. He's trying to create leverage that doesn't exist by artificially creating what is most scarce: fear of consequence. I fully expect to wake up 8 hours from now to a headline something along the lines of 'we were so close to giving the orders, I called them and I said - listen listen we can always take them back to the stone age next week if we need to but I'm hearing good things - tremendous things - from the much more reasonable Iranians we've been speaking with. Excellent things. Very positive developments. And so I've informed my team to hold off on dropping the BIG bombs just a little longer. Let's see! I find it amusing at just how much hatred there is towards France, because when you think about it, they ought to be the allies MAGA pretends they want: 1) they have and fund their own military, including their own nuclear weapons and defence industry/ production. 2) they share intel with the U.S. 3) they don’t have American bases on their soil that are supposedly draining the American taxpayer. 4) they opposed the war in Iraq, which is something that JD Vance - they current sitting Vice President of the United States of America said that ALL Europeans should have done. For no reason at all, I feel like it’s a great time to discuss the 1999 russian Apartment Bombings. In September 1999, explosions hit four apartment blocks in Buynaksk, Moscow, and Volgodonsk, killing 300+ and injuring more than 1000. Soon after, the 2nd Chechen War began. These attacks, and Prime Minister Putin’s response to them, helped propel him on an enormous popular wave into the presidency a couple months later. The bombs that went off received extensive coverage. It’s the one that didn’t go off in Ryazan I want to call your attention to. On September 22nd, Alexei Kartofelnikov, a resident of an apartment building in the city of Ryazan noticed two suspicious men carrying sacks into the basement from a car. While the license plate indicated that the car was registered in Moscow, a sheet of paper was taped over the last two digits, and the number written on it implied that the car was local. On September 23rd, Natalia Yukhnova, a telephone service employee in Ryazan, tapped into a suspicious phone call to Moscow and overheard the following instruction: "Leave one at a time, there are patrols everywhere".
