A Suicide Attempt by a Disabled Man at Pune Municipal Corporation Extreme Step Taken Over Non-Receipt of Pension A shocking incident took place today at the Pune Municipal Corporation. A disabled man, Mahavir Amarchand Muttha, allegedly attempted suicide in protest against not receiving his government pension. According to initial information, he took this extreme step after repeatedly following up with authorities for several years but receiving no support. As per available details, Muttha had applied for a disability pension and had been pursuing the matter for the past few years. He reportedly received the pension for one year in the beginning. However, after that, the pension was stopped without any explanation, he alleged. Despite making repeated requests and visits to the concerned offices, he did not receive any response, which left him frustrated and helpless. Today, in the premises of the municipal corporation itself, he allegedly consumed sleeping pills in an attempt to end his life. Eyewitnesses said that he expressed deep distress over his situation. “We have no source of income. My father is elderly and cannot hear properly. The government pension is extremely important for us. If I do not receive the pension, I will end my life here,” he was quoted as saying. Meanwhile, an inquiry into the incident has been initiated, and an explanation is expected from the concerned officials.

When we have so many Marathi graduates, why does Mumbai have Bhaiya TCs? I think basic graduation is sufficient to do this job, then why do we need to import Bhaiyas to do it when we have so many qualified in MH?

Developer is ready to give advance corpus + rent so the owner can close the loan... But few society members object saying “Usko dega toh mujhe bhi advance chahiye.” End Result? Loan not cleared, NOC not issued, redevelopment stuck, everyone loses... Moral: In redevelopment, ego is costlier than cement.
