Democrats are playing political games with our national security. By refusing to fund DHS, TSA officers are doing their jobs without pay to keep us safe. We should prioritize those who protect us—not play politics.

Funding DHS shouldn’t be partisan. My heart hurts for families going without pay and making tough choices to care for loved ones. They deserve better.

We need a strong leader at DHS, and @SenMullin is the tremendous leader we need. I have known Markwayne for years, and I know his heart is always to do the right thing for our country. I am confident he will continue to do that when he’s confirmed as the Secretary of DHS.

For 33 days, Democrats have REFUSED to fund DHS. They say they’re “very serene” with risking our safety, holding DHS employees’ paychecks hostage, and causing chaos for millions of travelers. Enough. End the shutdown. Fund DHS.
