@tobi Thank you for posting this Tobi!! I’m grateful you are still in Canada. My family moved to Canada from Czechoslovakia in 1986, but sadly as a Jew, staying here is getting less tenable by the day.

Hey @MarcMillerVM, hate is never acceptable. But let’s be clear: criticizing @AmiraElghawaby is entirely justified when she uses taxpayer money to commission a pro-Palestinian report and then turns around and promotes it, pushing her ideological narrative, all while not disclosing her involvement. That’s not “hate.” That’s a serious ethical failure, and you conveniently left it out.

The recent surge in hateful comments and threats toward Amira Elghawaby, the Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia, are disgraceful and entirely unacceptable. Disagreement is legitimate, harmful or abusive conduct, including disinformation, is not.

I think magic mushrooms are a longevity therapy. After seeing the data from two doses, psilocybin offers unique longevity effects that complement the best performing therapies I’ve done to date including sauna, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sleep, nutrition and exercise. This was the most quantified psychedelic experiment ever done. It's noteworthy that even though many of my biomarkers are already in the 99th percentile optimal, psilocybin still showed multi-system improvements. Something other therapies have not been able to accomplish. Of course, my data will need to be replicated and the magnitude and duration of benefits needs further assessment. Here is what we learned: 0. We observed broad benefits across mental, hormonal, metabolic, and anti-inflammatory systems. Since these are the primary drivers of biological aging, this multi-system signal offers a compelling case for longevity potential. 1. Psilocybin may be a metabolic reset button for the brain. We expected brain changes, but not a potential metabolic breakthrough. My blood sugar control improved from the top 2% of the population to 0.2%, better than 99.75% of 18-25 year olds. 2. Psilocybin reduced my inflammation (hsCRP) to below detectable levels one week post dose. 3. Psilocybin calmed my body and mind.  Lower cortisol, and an inhibited HPA-axis in the days following the dose. Both my cortisol and DHEA (another product of the adrenal cortex) dropped 42% and 45% respectively, indicating an overall adrenal reset associated with rest and recovery. 4. Psilocybin increased brain plasticity, desynchronized default networks, resulting in enhanced creativity, playfulness, and openness, with reduced mental rigidity. 5. A second psilocybin dose built on the first and pushed sensory integration even further, increasing primary sensory-motor integration beyond the peak of the first dose. 6. Psilocybin induced an intense blend of joy, deep insight, and a subtle hint of melancholy,  also detectable by thermal biometrics. We had two significant firsts in this experiment: 0. First documented human CGM-based observation of improved post-psilocybin glucose control. 1. First-ever thermal profile of an intense psilocybin dose. Pending data: + Telomere length and relative telomerase activity (telomere regeneration capacity). + Epigenetic measurements + Microbiome Experiment details Here are more details about my two magic mushrooms trips, doses, and the results of my measurements up to date. I had two doses of dried and powdered Psilocybe Cubensis (Variety  B+) mushrooms, three weeks apart. First dose Nov 9th: 4.67g (24.98 mg psilocybin and 3.5 mg psilocin). Setting: relatively private, only with @_katetolo and the accompanying guide. Second dose Nov 30th: 5.35 g (28 mg psilocybin and 4 mg psilocin). Setting: relatively open, with friends and family joining virtually, and live streaming. I dissolved the first dose in orange juice but used lemon juice for the second, for the following reasons: + Lemon is more sour, which delays the conversion to psilocin and breakdown in solution, thus preserving more total psilocybin to be activated to psilocin after ingestion. + Lemon juice has, on average, 70% less sugar and 45% less calories, making it less disruptive to my otherwise faster state throughout the journey, and leading to a much lower glucose peak. Rewired brain connectivity Kernel Flow measurements after the first dose showed shifts in my brain connectivity mirroring my subjective experience, and the mapping of 5-HT2A receptors. These included the inhibition of my default networks and command centers including prefrontal context and a shift towards increased functional connectivity and hyperintegration between primary motor, sensory, auditory, and speech integration. This coincided with an entropic brain pattern, more open, flexible, exploratory, and creative, indicating a shift from aged and rigid to open youthful brain state. The baseline measurement before the 2nd dose indicated a strong lasting effect from the first dose 3 weeks earlier, post-peak measurement after the 2nd dose indicated an additive effect of the 2nd dose, with a brain entropic and increased primary sensory-motor integration beyond the peak of the first dose. Most notable was the increased intensity of integration and activation of the auditory, speech, and language networks, coinciding with the second dose being joined by family, friends, where I enjoyed expressing and describing my feelings. Face and body thermal biometrics We produced the first ever face and upper body thermal map of a magic mushroom journey. A core temperature increase of 1.5–2°F suggests an intense psychedelic experience, likely due to a large psilocybin dose (28 mg psilocybin, 32 mg combined psychoactive content). Heat was redistributed to the core, consistent with 5HT2A–mediated autonomic activation, which can include increased sympathetic tone, lasting through the peak and early post-peak of the experience. Facial and body thermal shifts indicate a potential blend of intense joy, insight, and subtle sadness or melancholy. First documented human CGM-based observation of improved post-psilocybin glucose control Psilocybin appears to have triggered a previously unknown metabolic reset in my brain, an unexpected breakthrough.  Comparing the 3-day periods before and after the psilocybin dose: My blood glucose control dramatically improved, moving from the top 2% to the top 0.2% of the entire population, including healthy 18-25 year olds. + 8% reduction in mean blood glucose, reaching 80.84 mg/dL, a new personal best. + 11% reduction in fluctuation, indicating smoother glucose peaks and improved control. + This single session reduced my estimated HbA1c 0.3 6.8% from 4.7% to 4.4%, (a relative reduction of 6.8%). + Durability: The positive effect was still as strong on Day 3 post-dose as it was on Day 1. Note: A long trip to China on Day 4 interrupted this streak. We plan to explore the full durability of this effect with the next dose. This matters because we treat diabetes and metabolic dysfunction with chronic daily medication (Metformin, Insulin, GLP-1s). This data suggests that a neuroplastic event might have downstream effects on the liver and pancreas that mimic or exceed these drugs. Systemic inflammation was below detectable levels Five days after the first dose, my hsCRP dropped to an undetectable level (below 0.15 mg/dL), representing a 35-100% decrease from the pre-dose level of 0.23 mg/dL. Three days post-second dose, hsCRP was barely detectable at 0.18 mg/dL, which is still a 22% drop from the initial baseline. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) remained unchanged between baseline and post-second dose. It was not measured after the first dose. For the next dose, we will measure a wider panel of inflammatory markers, including IL-6 and IL-10, and cover several time points post-dose. High cortisol at Peak, low cortisol and stress the following week Cortisol spiked at the peak of the acute phase, followed by a decline in morning cortisol levels and HPA-axis inhibition, consistent with a relaxed "after-glow" phase in the week following the trip. My cortisol spiked to 3x morning spike levels four hours after taking the mushroom dose. Levels returned to normal nightly baseline before bedtime. Five days post-dose, my morning cortisol levels had dropped by 42%, and DHEA-S (a marker of adrenal activity) also dropped by 45%, aligning with inhibited HPA-axis and adrenal activity. Estradiol levels increased by 200%, consistent with preliminary published evidence that peripheral 5HT2A activation increases cortisol by driving aromatase expression.

Tonight, Mayor Olivia Chow and I came to Nathan Phillips Square to light the Hanukkiah and welcome the first night of Chanukah — a festival of light, hope, and resilience. But our joy tonight is tempered by deep sorrow. My heart is heavy for the families and communities affected by the horrific attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, where people gathered to celebrate the same holy occasion were met with unimaginable violence. Every Jewish community around the world — and right here in Toronto — deserves to feel safe and secure as they celebrate. We will fight to ensure the community is free from hate and danger. On this first night of Chanukah, we stand in solidarity with Jewish communities in Australia and around the world. We mourn those lost, hold the injured and their loved ones in our thoughts, and reject in every form the hatred that seeks to silence joy and spread fear. May the light of these candles remind us that even in the darkest moments, our shared humanity, compassion, and commitment to peace will always burn brighter.

Over the past week, I’ve had a lot of people reach out — community leaders, supporters, everyday British Columbians, and my constituents — encouraging me to run to be the next Premier of British Columbia. While I haven’t made a final decision, I am seriously considering doing so. Our province is being run into the ground by the NDP. They have flooded our streets with drugs, doubled our debt, compromised property rights, and crippled resource development across BC. I’ll be making my decision before Christmas. Thank you for your support.

Sauna is one of the most effective health protocols I've done. Here is everything I've learned; it's the most robust characterization ever produced. Results: 1) Fifteen sessions of sauna dramatically reduced environmental toxins in my body: + 65% drop in 2,4-D + 100% drop in MEP + 15% drop in MBP + 100% drop in MEHP (undetectable post sauna) + 56% drop in NAPR + 56% drop in HEMA + 100% drop in Perchlorate (undetectable post sauna) 2. Sauna eliminated 85% of microplastics from my ejaculate. Nov 2024: 165 particles/mL July 2025: 20 particles/mL Nearly identical drop in my blood same time period: Oct 2024: 70 particles/mL May 2025: 10 particles/mL 3. Sauna, without ice on the boys, devastated my fertility markers. Total Motile Count: –56% Concentration: –30% Motility: –50% Morphology: –48% Count: –9% 4. Sauna coincided with my fertility markers being at an all-time high. I have more total and motile sperm than 99.6% of men of any age, including men under 25. + total count: 600 M + concentration: 162 M + motility: 55% + total motile count: 330M + morphology (normal): 10% We do not know what to make of these improvements. Was it the sauna? Sauna + ice? Ice only? We don't know but we did not identify any other protocols or lifestyle changes during this interval that would plausibly account for the change. 5. My vascular function improved by a ten year reduction in age. Now I have the vascular age of an elite 18-early 20s. + Central Systolic Blood Pressure: 96 mmHg + Central Pulse Pressure: 20 mmHg + Pulse Pressure Amplification: 160% + SEVR: 227% + Augmentation Pressure: 1 mmHg + Augmentation Index Wave: 3% + Traditional blood pressure: 107/75 mmHg 6. What type of sauna? Use a dry sauna with high temperatures between 80-100°C (176 to 212°F) and 5-20% relative air humidity. Aim for the lower end of this spectrum, especially as a beginner. Higher temperatures closer to the boiling point can cause side effects like headaches and severely dried nose and eyes. Note: Steam baths, hot tubs, and infrared saunas fail to replicate the same effects because they do not allow you to safely reach the required high temperatures and do not induce the same level of sweating, the necessary inverted (skin-to-core) temperature gradient, and the massive re-direction of blood to the skin with resulting vasodilation. Dry sauna is unique, and very likely superior to wet (steam bath) and infrared saunas. By heating up your skin way faster than your core, dry hot sauna flips your core skin temperature gradient, eliciting the following hormetic benefits: + enhanced blood flow: the heart pumps up to 70% more blood, similar to intense aerobic exercise (zone 2-+ increased sweating for detoxification: to maintain a stable core temperature, the skin produces 0.6-1 liter of sweat per hour, facilitating significant detoxification. + improved heat tolerance: the body becomes better at handling heat, leading to a lower core body temperature (offering metabolic advantages) + safe activation of heat shock proteins: the skin experiences substantial heat shock protein activation, while a modest 1°C increase in core temperature is sufficient to activate these proteins without the risk of hyperthermia. + extended Exposure at higher temperatures: dry saunas are more tolerable for longer durations and at higher temperatures, maximizing the benefits. 7. Sauna protocol and frequency Type: hot dry sauna Temperature: 176–212°F ( I do 200°F) Relative air humidity: very low, 5-20% Duration: 20 min Frequency: 4–7x a week 8. Heat Protection If you'd like, you can protect your head from the heat by wearing a sauna hat or wrapping it with a towel (use only cotton or other 100% natural material). You can breathe through a towel or cloth if needed to protect your nose. I am personally fine not doing this. Most importantly, ice the balls. Icing the testicles is absolutely required to prevent heat from damaging fertility markers. + Ice the testes during the sauna session. + Use a non-toxic, reusable ice pack material. + Wear cotton boxers and shorts. + Place ice packs in between the boxers and shorts. + Keep them in place for the entire session. Men should care about preserving fertility markers even when they are not trying to conceive. Sperm quality is tightly coupled to testicular function, which governs testosterone production, metabolic health, and long term endocrine stability. When fertility parameters decline, the same upstream dysfunction often drives lower testosterone, higher inflammation, and increased cardiometabolic risk. 9. Hydration Dry sauna induces sweating as part of its beneficial mechanism. Be sure to hydrate properly. In general, you might need to rehydrate with up to 16–32 oz (0.5–1 L) of fluid after a sauna session. Be sure to add electrolytes. If you want to be precise, measure your sweat amount and electrolytes (saltiness) using a patch (e.g., from Gatorade) to quantify your liquid and electrolyte loss, and rehydrate accordingly. Some people have saltier sweat than others and must ensure they replenish electrolytes as well as water. My results: my body sweats 18 oz during a 20 min sauna at 200 °F, with a sodium concentration of 25-39 mg/oz. A single sauna session flushes 450–700 mg of sodium out of my body. # I wish you all the best in life my friend. A new era or being human is here. One where existence is the highest virtue. Prioritize sleep, daily exercise and eat well and you'll be in a strong position. Try to avoid the bad stuff. Anything that takes away your agency. Be a warrior and caretaker of existence. Don't Die.

Ok, here is my trip report from 4.67 grams of magic mushrooms, 24.9 mg of psilocybin. The dose used in modern clinical trials. First, the experience was exhilarating. Positive in every way. I felt like a kid finding and exploring a new playground. My sensory perception was dialed up to levels I must have felt as a kid but have been dulled with time. I experienced sense of touch with awe. Feeling my fingers rub together felt novel. Touching my skin and running my feet over the threaded quilt lit up my brain. It seemed that my mind was insatiably curious and wanted to deploy its sensors into the world and discover all things. I felt the same sensory joy in moving my body. Rolling my joints, curving my back, curling up in a ball, flexing muscles and moving all about in a fluid fashion. My body felt nimble, supple, fit, and strong. My sense of hearing was equally as elevated. It helped that I was also wearing my new hearing aids which restore frequencies I’d long stopped noticing. The music I listened to hit more fully than I have memory. My facilitator gave me some water in a glass jar. The visuals of the light reflections, water dynamics and sensory experience of holding the glass were so fascinating that I forgot to drink. My brain wanted to stare, study and marvel. One of the most satisfying things I discovered was taking huge, deep breaths. Inhaling life and fueling the body’s needs and wants. I did it over and over and over. This material of existence, all around us, was available and free to be mined. You just needed to breathe in. (After peaking and coming down, I ate a salad. It tasted like the most delicious food I’d ever eaten. The flavor exploded in my mouth. I savored every bite.) At one point, I felt like my entire body was still. I had a perceived sense of total body control.  Like my heart had stopped. Complete stillness. This was surprising as I’m acutely tuned to my heart beat. I monitor my heart all day every day and can usually discern my heart rate by sensation. In that moment, I couldn’t feel my heart beat or any pulse pressure through my blood vessels. First time that’s ever happened. I asked Kate to check my heart rate on my wearable and it was mid 50s. I wasn’t worried. Just curious about my sensory experience. With this heightened sense of sensory perception, it felt like my consciousness was dialed up to 10/10. I felt hyper aware and hyper alive. It felt like mushrooms restored my perception to youthful levels, returning them to factory settings and dissolving my aged numbness. Once my senses were reset, my attention sifted from the texture of existence to existence itself. We spend most of our time playing games at the layers of people, dramas, companies, politics, jobs, money, ideologies, and status.  Underneath these games is the knowing that physical death has been inevitable. Everyone before us has died. When death is inevitable, people pick their game among a wide array of options including reincarnation, heaven, legacy, offspring, ancestral veneration, existentialism and many more. These frameworks make death soothing, a virtue, and something positive to be anticipated. But what if death is no longer inevitable? I’m not suggesting immortality. I am suggesting a radical remake of human life. The speed of progress in AI, biology and medicine point to a new frontier of possibility. Are we cavemen-equivalent now compared to what we will be like in 50 years? It’s now harder to argue why we should limit our imagination. With so much promise, why have we not shifted our societal attention to secure our own existence? To solve aging. To address existential risks. To care for our planet. Why are we still messing around with self destruction, war and ignoring preserving our own existence? We work hard to be fit. To learn a skill.  Build a relationship. To make money. When we identify an opportunity, we focus and work hard. It seems to me that we’re not yet aware or awake to the opportunity of what existence could become. Whatever one’s life philosophy and belief of what happens after this life, the majority of us want to live to see tomorrow. We have stuff going on and things to look forward to. And when tomorrow arrives, we want to see the next day. Wanting tomorrow is functionally equivalent to wanting infinitely. The want to exist is deeply embedded in all of us. Our actions prove this every day. Humans have been the alpha form of intelligence for a while now, imposing our will upon all we can. Our powers have increased dramatically in the past few decades. We can edit our own DNA, design materials at the nano scale, and build thinking machines. Our alpha status is now challenged by AI. Whether AI is friend or foe, and in what ways, and on what timelines is anyone’s guess. No one knows. Mushrooms opened up my sensory awareness of this landscape to depths I hadn’t accessed before. My ability to see and understand felt like the movie Inception, where characters take a sedative to enter a different realm to carry out missions. A space as real as what we experience each day, but with different foundational pillars of reality. It felt convincing that without the aid of a reality expanding intervention (like mushrooms), you can’t really see or understand this dimension, handicapping awareness. While in this mushroom-induced dimension, it felt clear that we are about to start waking up from a slumber that has hypnotized us into accepting death. This will happen faster than people think. Once people see a practical path to extending a healthy life, they will adopt ferociously. The body positivity movement came to mind. Most people don’t really want to be overweight and unhealthy. But when we want something we can’t achieve, we come up with moral frameworks about why we didn’t want it in the first place (i.e. sour grapes). Once GLP-1s came about, people’s attitudes changed overnight. The same will happen with aging. No one wants to be crippled and handicapped by age. This awakening will also come about with the emergence of new ideologies. Revolutions erupt when a civilization’s founding myth becomes incompatible with its reality.  The system fractures, dissolves, and opens up space for new meaning to rush in and replace it. This pattern has been repeated throughout history. > The agrarian empires (800-200 BCE) ruled via tribal power and violence, creating a moral crisis that gave rise to Buddhism, Greek philosophy, Judaism and Confucianism. > Feudalism (1600-1800) ruled via divine monarchy, creating a stagnation crisis that gave rise to rational inquiry, the scientific method, individual rights and democracy. > Industrial capitalism (1848-1945) ruled via mechanization and labor exploitation, creating a crisis of alienation, mass poverty and urban chaos that gave rise to socialism, nationalism, regulation and collective rights. > Liberal capitalism (1980-2025) ruled via consumer sovereignty and free markets, creating a crisis of attention capture, metabolic collapse and existential despair that will give rise to something new. Capitalism solved for scarcity. Its defining virtue was freedom to choose. Ironically and perhaps inevitably, compulsion replaced scarcity and freedom decayed into addiction. Revolution is at our doorstep. Our current systems are fractured, evolving, and opening up space for new meaning to rush in and replace it. Change has been a reliable feature of human society. It will happen on accelerated timescales given the pace of technological and scientific advance. After journeying this terrain, I was left feeling unbridled enthusiasm for the future of existence. That we may be the equivalent of cavemen trying to anticipate a future that is unimaginable to our current minds. And that existence could be more exquisite than any can actually paint at this moment. New archetypes will emerge: warriors and caretakers of existence. People who are defiant of death, and view self-destruction as primitive and low-status.  Who take the continuation of human existence as seriously as profits, fame or power. They will emerge as our high-status societal idols. The irony is that people thought this experience would collapse my interest in life and have me willfully kneeling to death. To find truth though, one must always invert. What seems more likely is that people use death to shield from the disappointment of not experiencing the potential of life without the limitations of death.
