@GhostMoney888 @clashreport I wouldn't call it lower. It's the most technically advanced machine man has ever created. It has enabled driving cars and artificial intelligence. If it were easy Intel wouldn't have been stuck on 14nm for 7 years.

@clashreport TSMC was established because the founder didn't want to compete in chip design and piss us off so they went one rung lower to manufacturing.

Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is a very, very powerful, big country. That’s a very small island. Think of it; it’s 59 miles away. We’re 9,500 miles away. That’s a little bit of a difficult problem. If you look at the history, Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

@davepl1968 Bad take. It was shipped broken and even new drivers from hardware vendors were shipped broken. It wasn't until SP1 that it became usable. BTW If you had a laptop expect 50% battery life.

@House_Paint @joeroganhq Yeah, it wasn’t easy for TSMC to ramp up their facility in Arizona, compared to the one in Japan, from a lack of qualified personnel to union issues.

Fox News on China getting the H200 AI chip: "If they get the chip and [China] tries to build their own chips. What are they going to do? They’re going to steal the technology from the chips they get. This is an issue."

@joeroganhq The issue isn’t them being able to steal it because they can’t actually manufacture it. Regardless of what the nose ringed Palestine crowd think, China isn’t high tech. High tech is Korea, Taiwan (not China or to be confused with Thailand), and Japan.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) CLAPS BACK at former DNC Chair Donna Brazile AFTER she ATTACKS the Trump administration for going to war with Iran with no “strategy” and “no end game.” “Every single Democrat has said we can’t EVER let Iran build a bomb… When Kamala Harris was running for president, she identified that as the top concern for her internationally.”

Recently, I’ve been seeing more comments from people telling me I’m “not really Canadian” because I wasn’t born here, that I’m merely a guest with documents, despite being a proud Canadian citizen for 15+ years and contributing to this country since the day I arrived. Apparently, some believe they are “more Canadian” than others simply because they were born here. To me, being Canadian is not just about birthplace. It’s about values, contribution, respect, hard work, and commitment to the country you call home. If this mentality continues to grow, I may eventually reconsider where I choose to build my future perhaps even in the United States. But I truly hope Canada never loses the inclusive spirit that once made it admired around the world.

@davepl1968 @CuriosityonX Dave this is hilarious that you are trolling the rover over image quality. For everyone else, design started on that rover in 2003. So any tech used in the rover would have to be older than that. Including cameras, sensors, radios etc...

@CuriosityonX Why is most NASA imagery worse than a $300 drone? I get the data rates are low, but the images we do see should be more compelling. Splurge on a 4K photo once or twice, if the tech is there...

With no disrespect to vintage enthusiasts, these cars were awful. The reason they were awful is not because they got old and worn out but they were awful when new. As a Tesla owner, imagining being forced to drive even a new legacy car is as unthinkable as being sent back to 1975 and being forced to select any vehicle. They were all awful. We live in the golden age and not many even know it.

I just bought a 1978 Ford LTD for almost nothing from my wife’s grandfather, who just wanted to be rid of it. It’s only got 7k original miles on it and has been garage kept its entire life. It runs like it came off the lot. I have no idea what I’m going to do with it.

@hahussain Of course they’re violations of the Geneva conventions — and they’re not even theoretical they’re real. Most Americans have higher standards for US presidents than for the horrific, murderous, undemocratic Iranian regime.

Jake thinks it is a war crime only when Iranian power plants and bridges are knocked down. When Iran strikes energy and civilian infrastructure in UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait, even when none of these countries attacked Iran, Jake will not remind us of the Geneva Convention.
Jake Tapper 🦅@jaketapper

Trump tells Iran that if they don’t agree to his “very fair and reasonable DEAL” the US will “knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.“ Targeting civilian infrastructure is widely considered a war crime under the Geneva conventions.

Jason, I don't think anyone has really answered your question so I will try... Iran has hundreds of thousands of these boats, they are small so they are hard to track via radar and they can port almost anywhere. That means we would have to deploy live visual tracking of an area of about 1500 miles through drones and air breather (manned assets). This is simply not feasible unless we want to spend $10B a day on ISR. Then even if say we track a boat and eliminate it...there are 99,999 more just waiting to go back out. Plus they are easy to replace.

Someone educate me as to why the US Navy can't eliminate Iran's “mosquito fleet.” I get these are small, fast speedboats, but can't they be quickly eliminated by helicopters and jets, as well as ship-mounted guns? How many of these do they even have?!
