Good Friday this time seems to be a fright day for Kuki Christians of Manipur. The Communal BJP State Government of Manipur committed yet again another blunder for trying to run after money on this special National Holiday of Good Friday, ostensibly meant for funding the CM-nurtured militia like Arambai Tenggol. We lost our churches while the militia group dismantled them amounting to over 360+ and rendered about 41,425+ displaced Kuki people being devoid of a place to worship since May 3rd last. Now, the BJP state government openly declared a most important day of the Christians (Good Friday) as a paid, working day. Manipur state police and central security forces remained mute spectators as Arambai Tenggol leader Korounganba Khuman arrived at the venue in Imphal in a police vehicle, and the militant group proceeded to administer an oath-taking ceremony to the MLAs. Manipur reels from shocking video: UNLF militants, posing as state police, attack Kuki-Zo village. A video circulating online today has plunged Manipur into fresh turmoil. It allegedly shows heavily armed militants, dressed in #ManipurStatePolice uniforms, attacking the #Kuki_Zo village of Satang, Saikul in Kangpokpi District. The militants openly identify themselves as the proscribed United National Liberation Front (#UNLF) and proudly display their dual emblems: the Manipur Police badge on one shoulder and the UNLF badge on the other. Meitei Narco-Terrorist Killed Two Tribals: One of them an IRB personnel November 20, 2023 Amidst the nationwide grief over the #CricketWorldCup2023 loss, the indigenous Kuki-Zo tribals of Manipur mourn the loss of two more lives at the hands of proscribed Meitei terrorists and Arambai Tenggol cadres. They ambushed the two individuals along the Lamka to Kanggui (Kangpokpi) road. The attack took place between L. Tangnuam and Kharam Vaiphei village at approximately 9:30 AM today (Nov 20, 2023), resulting in the tragic loss of two lives. The victims have been identified as follows: 1. Henminlen Vaiphei, son of Luntinlal Vaiphei, residing in Mission Veng, Leimakhong. 2. Thangminlun Hangsing, son of Lunkhongam Hangsing, hailing from Khunkho village. A team of Kuki-Zo went to repair the Lamka-Kanggui road, which had suffered significant damage due to recent heavy rainfall. The victims had dropped off their friends at a designated point and were on their way back to Leimakhong when they fell prey to a ruthless attack by Meitei militias, a mere 50 meters from where they had parted ways with their companions. Since they were engaged in road repairs, none of them were armed. The victims were defenseless against the Meitei terror group, who mercilessly took their lives. Their friends, also unarmed, were unable to come to their aid. The attackers fled the scene after shooting and killing Henminlen Vaiphei and Thangminlun Hangsing.
