Mr. Bhushan Gagrani as MD of CIDCO gave in writing to MCZMA that these wetlands in Navi Mumbai, mapped in National wetlands Atlas, are not wetlands but developable plots of land resulting in MCZMA approval to a private party to make Residential towers on these wetlands.

Maharashtra is facing a sweltering heatwave. Maharashtra government’s solution? Cut more trees, plant them 30 years later. 👏👏

Forest department of Maharashtra now will approve permission to cut trees within 15 days from earlier 30 days to industries for the sake of ease of doing businesses. Number of documents required to submit has reduced from 11 to 5 for applicants. Don't worry guys. State is pretty thoughtful. MH Green Commission to be founded to plant 300 crores of trees across the state by 2047.

Mumbai is now a free-for all paradise for builders and contractors with friends in power: Cut as many trees as you want, conjure up with ridiculous infra projects worth thousands of crores, build high-rises in places fire engines can't reach.

For the past two weeks, regular joggers say trash has been dumped and set on fire almost daily on the rocks near the start of Carter Road Promenade, close to Otters Club. Even this evening, smoke could be seen rising from the site — in full public view. (1/2)
