Here’s what was #inmyglass 🍷 UCO VALLEY, one of the major five subregions of Mendoza, is one of Argentina’s premier high-altitude wine regions. Divided into Tupungato, Tunuyán, and San Carlos, its limestone-rich alluvial soils, cool nights, and Andean snowmelt produce fresh, concentrated wines led by Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Syrah. SAN CARLOS, in the southern Uco Valley, is one of Argentina’s highest and coolest wine areas. Known for regions such as Paraje Altamira and La Consulta, its limestone-rich alluvial soils produce precise, fresh, and terroir-driven wines, especially Malbec. LA CONSULTA, on the left bank of the Tunuyán River, is one of Argentina’s most prestigious high-altitude wine districts. Its rocky alluvial soils and strong thermal amplitude produce concentrated, fresh, and terroir-driven wines, especially Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah The wine #inmyglass is Ricominciare Códice 2021, the icon wine of Ricominciare Wine Family, where Viviana Catena chose to honor the six red grapes planted in their single vineyard in La Consulta, San Carlos, Uco Valley. The blend combines co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot (60%), followed by Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Tannat. The vineyard, planted between 1986 and 1999 at 930 meters above sea level, is rooted in deep sandy soils with silt and clay, naturally preserving freshness and acidity through the region’s remarkable thermal amplitude. Guided by a philosophy of respect between vine, man, and land, Ricominciare crafts wines that faithfully reflect both their terroir and their family’s Italian winemaking heritage. #UcoValley #ArgentineWine #SingleVineyard #ricominciarefamilywinery #vivianacatena

@lebonvinfr Mendoza, where the sub-region Uco is highest. But Malbec would be more purple…Uco Cabernet?

@lebonvinfr Brunello would have balsamic & herbs; Hermitage would have meat/charcuterie. Are we in Napa Cabernet?
