@PattyArquette@jasonvanschoor I agree @PattyArquette it is very scary! I have been following it from the start and it’s not looking great. Apparently cases double every few days till it hits the high numbers if left unchecked! I’m hearing it’s starting to spread fast in the states now too?
From a well respected friend and intensivist/A&E consultant who is currently in northern Italy:
1/ ‘I feel the pressure to give you a quick personal update about what is happening in Italy, and also give some quick direct advice about what you should do.
@jasonvanschoor That is horrific! Maybe @ScottMorrisonMP should read this and make the call to shut the country down before it gets too out of hand here! Thanks for sharing

@gorst_wright@ChangeAus No we don’t. I’m really struggling with deciding on sending my child to school or keeping her home! It is infectious during incubation so no symptoms can still mean infections
Do we know enough about #coronavirusaustralia to send our kids back to school on Wednesday?
Department of Education- NSW Government: Coronavirus - NSW schools to extend holidays by 2 weeks - Sign the Petition! chng.it/Y6nX4RyV via @ChangeAUS
@ScottMorrisonMP curious why we still have flights coming in from different areas of China. A nurse working in Beijing hospital says people there r dying every hour. None of it reported. Coronavirus is infectious without symptoms. We r sending our kids to school next week.....
@mscott Why r there still flights coming in from China? A friend who is a nurse in Beijing says people are dying every hour at all hospitals and it is covered up. None of it reported. Coronavirus is infectious without symptoms.
Advice for parents ahead of school returning from NSW Health. "Students who have travelled to Wuhan and Hubei during the school holidays can return to school but should be carefully monitored for symptoms of coronavirus infection." health.nsw.gov.au/news/Pages/202…
@BeckRSaunders@mscott@johnqgoh I agree. Very concerned about this as it doesn’t really make sense. If it is infectious during the incubation period then it’s a pointless precaution as the child with no symptoms back at school can be infectious
@mscott@johnqgoh Mmmm they know it is transmissible before symptoms shown... return to Australia and we will see you in class in two weeks (as long as symptom freefor that time) -this needs to be non-negotiable
