@tux1234 @CommarderFM @bayraktar_1love Civilian deaths are always a tradgedy (so are military butvthats a different perspective) but the difference comes down to targetting- were they caught up as collateral to a legitimate military target, or were they the target themselves? Military supply or civilian tower block?

@JasonSBingley @CommarderFM @bayraktar_1love Yeah but if its wrong for russia to kill civilians in Ukraine, then its wrong to kill civilians in russia. Those were people just trying to earn a wage for their families, not government members, not military.

@CommarderFM @bayraktar_1love As other have said, part of military supply chain. Even if there was nothing secretive inside, others have poited out that they sell body armour, drones etc that are being used for the war effort.

@bayraktar_1love I obviously like to see russia burning, but how exactly is this a valid target? Tankers and stuff are fine cause that's state companies selling/operating it, but I doubt that's the case for an ecommerce platform...

@straczynski With apologies: To live on, in that way, is to leave behind joy, love, and companionship because we know it to be transitory; of the moment. We know it will turn to ash.

🧵So, Nigel Farage is resigning to force a by-election. MPs can't just resign. They have to be appointed by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to an office that legally disqualifies them from being an MP.

@straczynski One thing got right by the B5 approach was mixing the ongoing with the temporary. Not every storyline needs to go the distance, and trying to pull together and justify each thread is unrealistic: life doesn't work that way. It's not CSI. Not every piece of evidence is relevant.

It was never required. If it came naturally, great, if not, then not, especially if it was a fairly small personal story where that could be seen as intrusive. Also, TKO was written by Larry DiTillio, not me, just to make sure he gets appropriate credit.
Shokunin ᯅ - Product Craft@tetrisgm

@straczynski I’ve always wondered about TKO. Every other episode seems to deliberately introduce elements to the lore. Elaborate on a race, or a character. That one does very little. What was the driver for that? I’m not looking to dunk on the episode, I love your work. Just curious about the difference

@CrystalKalos @BlanchardPhD It used to be a pet peeve of mine but I realised that you point is correct. There are so many common terms that dont mean what the are 'supposed' to mean that it becomes a pointless pedantic endeavor. The current version of AI still annoys me though.

I wish that science fiction writers never heard the word “dimension.” Something is always coming from another dimension. It’s not clear to me how many of them actually understand what a “dimension” is.

Having endured six years as a woman online making political content I think that the days of social media anonymity should be removed. Let’s see you threaten to gang rape a woman or kill black people with your government ID attached to your profile, you cowardly piece of shit.

@RKin3333 @MrTimDunn @benonwine @LWalksLondon Diverse crowds? You mean people visiting from different places to see different things? How is that a bad thing - every venue in the country does that. Or are you trying to put a political spin on it?

@MrTimDunn @benonwine @LWalksLondon Odd to aim to "draw diverse crowds" though? If you concentrate on the quality of the experience you create, wouldn't you just be happy that the crowds will be diverse because individuals are diverse? What does diversity look like? How much is aimed for? How will it be measured?

Iconic Bristol shipyard REMOVES Great Britain from name to 'represent diversity' WOKE MADNESS! The historic Bristol dockyard that housed Brunel’s legendary SS Great Britain is being rebranded as simply Bristol Dockyards. The words “Great Britain” are being removed. Even the name of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of Britain’s greatest ever engineers, is being pushed aside. The trust behind the site says it wants to better reflect “diversity”, focus on Britain’s imperial past, and spark conversations about issues such as migration. Chief Executive Andrew Edwards has admitted some people will see the move as “woke”. Mr Edwards said: "Change is never easy. You’ll always get those that are resistant, but when we were shaping the vision, I tried to take stock of where the city was and what the city was all about." He said the dockyards were determined to become more "cool" and reflect Bristol, a Green council-run hotbed of music, festivals and left-wing activism Why do these Lefties HATE our country and it’s history so much when we gave the world so much, and that very fact should be praised and celebrated not washed away like we have something to be ashamed of. Many will be asking a simple question: Why does modern Britain seem so determined to distance itself from the very people, achievements and history that helped build it? 🇬🇧 What do you think?

Banker here. Once arranged a substantial loan for a prominent journalist to pay their tax bill. Reason they hadn't was put down to a "fear of brown envelopes". I'm often tempted to out them in the comments section of their far right rag.
