To the mature Christian women: Should men be teaching theology to other men? Give me your best biblical answer. (Wrong answers only.)

@CaptMAColeman @BWChurch One of the best seasons of my life was seeing the work God did in you and Jamie during those years. We need a reunion soon to catch up on all He’s still doing! Much love to you all!

As my wife and I left @BWChurch today I realized how much I appreciate the people who encouraged me to read my Bible and accept Christ. Thank you @JohnGuedry for baptizing me July 1996. #Lifechanged

Here is why this take is SO DUMB... You never get to the 2nd / 3rd level of you aren’t running aggressively and physically through the 1st level. #Titans

I think @KingHenry_2 is a monster. One of the best backs in football. I don’t believe he runs with the same physicality in the front 7, or tight spaces as on the second level! This is not a hot take. Just a fact, & it’s ok! Still balls. In a small space I wouldn’t blink!

The more I study the letters of the apostle Paul and commit sections to memory, the more convinced I become that we (at least in my tradition) have woefully underestimated and undervalued the Holy Spirit. I think this error explains much of our lovelessness & disunity. Because...

Before you engage in the hot button topics of this hour, whether you are a Christ follower or not, ask this... Is what I am about to post, decent? Is what I’m about to post, inflammatory or productive? Is what I’m about to post, what I want to be known for?

I want to go on record... I love the church. I love the local church. I love “para-church” ministries. I love any collective waving the banner of Jesus. It’s so easy to get caught up in methodology, philosophy, and theology and miss the simplicity of people joined, loving God.

@ChiefMAColeman @SVT_Cobras It sounds like she’s getting cold hearted and cruel in her old age. 👎🏻 So sad 😔 You’d look so good in that, too!

@drbobutley I believe a chronological reading of Paul’s letters reflects the systematic dismantling of the theology of Paul. He didn’t write them to give us cut n paste fodder for building tidy logical doctrines as we’ve been often taught.

Our theological questions, grids, and distinctives reflect our own insecurities. We want more information and clarification than the Bible provides, so our systematic theologies take some small chunks of Scripture and weave huge webs of logical, western, specific doctrines!

@NickParish217 If no emotion involved, it’s not full surrender. This guy is letting his bias cloud his vision. And his history is off - nothing suggests “tabernacle...hearing the word” as 1C church’s “form”. But we should lose the hype and manipulation.

Sorry fam, I'm over this thinly veiled condemnation of modern worship. Obviously we shouldn't need a concert to worship God. That's clear. Let us worship in spirit & truth, letting the truths of God ever ring from our lips, stirring our spirit which must elicit emotion. twitter.com/desiringgod/st…

If your emotional experience in worship hangs on what kind of music is played or how dark the sanctuary is, you haven’t seen enough of God himself yet. desiringgod.org/articles/does-…

@desiringGod surrendered and engaged in worship as you body, spirit, mind, and will, then you’re not worshiping wholeheartedly. 3) I think (hope) this guy will one day wish he hadn’t written this - there’s an arrogance to youth that deceives you into thinking you’ve got it all figured out.

@desiringGod Lord“ is such a bogus statement. If any “format” could be identified, it was that if a dinner party or family meeting. This guy sounds like a modern “pastor” trying to justify His job as more import than the music, which people like more. 2) if you emotions aren’t as fully ...
