I hate all kinds of prejudice, however this particular flavour of homophobia really grinds my gears! This suggestion that gay men are somehow ‘sad and lonely’ beings that are easy picking, waiting to be ‘exploited’ by heterosexuals is so stuck in the 1970’s where the only representation of homosexuality was John Inman mincing around on ‘Are You Being Served’. This description of gay men being ‘weak’ doesn’t bare any reality to my real life experience of the strong, independent, self-assured gay men I interact with on a daily basis. 🙏💪
