@SpireJim Kyambogo University is one reputable, easier for numerous entry schemes; but the scheme suitable for her has closed. Go to the career guidance officer for assistance, tho entry will have to wait for Jan/Feb next year to apply under Diploma/certificate entry scheme.

This 2km road stretch was constructed by President Gen Amin's government in 1970s between Moyo and Laropi Port in West Nile as a prototype of the kind of road network he envisaged for Uganda. It has no single crack, pot hole or a sign of getting any. Why doesn't Government of the Republic of Uganda especially ministry of works and Transport study under the microscope the ingredients of this road and use it as a benchmark for all roads in Uganda egos aside.

This child, Victor Katungi, has been missing from St. Savio Junior School Kisubi since Thursday April 23. It is said that the science teacher after scolding Victor sent him back to the Dormitory at around 8pm to collect his science script and that was the last time he was seen. His family is in anguish and appeal to anyone who could have seen him to please notify the police or his father Patrick Katungi on 0787860801 🙏🙏

@KaguhangireM @AAgather Children would be very safe in schools. Actually I trust Catholic based schools as regards to safety. But the way we're bringing these children up also complicates work of teachers. We're raising "nantagambwaakos" en we want trs to carry our crosses!!! Ooh nooo

@UtdMaI Manchester United has scored more goals than Liverpool. The same reason why Manchester city was on top of the table above arsenal before yesterday's match Ars-NC united.

Somebody explain to me as a kid… why is Manchester United still top of Liverpool on the Premier League table yet we all have the same number of points and goal differences, even alphabetically “L” comes before “M”

@AKasingye @AKasingye tipping has no price. It's appreciation of the service. These ladies and the gents smile while serving us, no matter the problems back home or even abuses from their supervisors, they smile. They endure being bounced back so many times but work on one thing "customer"

I don’t like tipping waiters and waitresses especially the former. I do it under duress if I have a meal with someone else. Those who do so, please tell me why it’s necessary and how much should a tip be?

@HansUG10 @AKasingye In high end restaurants like where the kinds of @AKasingye go to, chefs are paid highly to at least 6m; this is a hefty margin from the waiters and waitresses who are paid to a maximum of 500k. Even with no tips, chefs can survive, may be talk of the cleaners and washers!!

@AKasingye Tipping a waiter or waitress is fine, but how about the chef who's in the kitchen? Who prepared that meal, will the waiter share with him or her, just asking.

I respectfully appeal to the 11th @Parliament_Ug, before the end of its term, to declare April 24th a public holiday in honor of modern day, post-revolution fighters and patriots who continue to safeguard and shape our nation. Figures such as Gen. @mkainerugaba exemplify commitment to national security and continuity. Recognizing their service would foster reflection, gratitude, and unity. To eliminate unnecessary costs, the commemoration can be organized as a hybrid event held at State House and broadcast live on national TV ensuring nationwide participation in a cost effective way. Globally, nations honor their heroes through days like Memorial Day (USA), Remembrance Day (UK), Volkstrauertag (Germany), and Yom HaZikaron (Israel). Uganda can do the same. This proposed day would be distinct from Heroes Day, focusing specifically on contemporary contributors and modern service.

@SpireJim Yes Dr @SpireJim but it commonly happens to students who wish to be admitted on government sponsorship especially from humble backgrounds. These students tend to fill options with low cutoff points including education, in fear of missing the opportunity.

@amronaldo Well!! It's what their unimpactiful numbers can do: to legitimize thuggery in parliament. If we need to make them accountable for their impacts, we should vote for bigger numbers that can vote against the their NRM counterparts on different matters.

What does the opposition in Uganda really do? They protest the national budget every year, yet the budget passes exactly as the Executive wants it. They fought the age‑limit amendment, but it still passed. The Protection of Sovereignty Bill will pass for the same reason everything else passes: when the NRM Chairman wants something approved, Parliament approves it. THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT THE UGX 315M FOR MOTOR VEHICLES. In practical terms, the Opposition has not stopped a single major government agenda item. They do not influence budgets, they do not block constitutional amendments, and they do not restrain Executive power. Their presence has become symbolic rather than impactful. Under these conditions, it is difficult to point to any measurable achievement in terms of legislation, oversight, or accountability. What is consistently visible, however, is that many of them personally benefit financially from the same system they claim to oppose. They take the bribes, they get the same inducements that the Executive gives parliament. The conclusion is one: they legitimize the NRM government and they’re playing all of us for fools.

I know about the repressive regulatory pressure from FIA. Yet, @CentenaryBank cannot neglect its responsibility to inform its customers as soon as the regulator exerts the pressure. That Bank-customer contractual and logical responsibility cannot be shirked or outsourced by the bank. The Bank owes @AAgather an apology and a firm promise never exercise comparable corporate negligence towards her or other customers.
Agather Atuhaire@AAgather

After @CentenaryBank calling me yesterday to resolve my issue, they sent me a message saying I should contact FIA “to get information regarding the directive on account restriction”. It seems even the bank wasn’t given the reason for that account restriction they were hustling ordered to freeze. Even the issue of who had the responsibility to inform me wasn’t resolved. They owe no duty whatsoever to the customer!

Again, no one notified me. Stop stating it matter of factly, it’s very annoying to try to gaslight me and evade responsibility. Secondly, it was your obligation to notify me as my bank. Stop expecting the same government agency that’s acting illegally and with impunity to care about your customers’ convenience and livelihood!
