The Ford government is making the argument for an injunction right now. One of their reasons they cite for the injunction is that one of the organizers of the Al Quds Day Rally in Toronto is Samidoun, a designated terrorist group under Canadian law.

Premier @fordnation has demonstrated the moral courage to confront this hateful antisemitic protest. Violent rhetoric like "Globalize the Intifada" is a call to action for violence and dehumanization of Jews everywhere. ALL of us — of all faiths — cannot sit on the sidelines as increasing attacks on synagogues, Jewish schools, or the Bondi Beach massacre become normalized. This is a moment to stand up for Canada's longstanding democratic and pluralistic values, and stand against those who call for the destruction of Western Values, and "death to Canada." Not in our country. Never again.

This afternoon, I’ve instructed my Attorney General to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto. Hate, violence and intimidation have no place on the streets of Canada and our government will fight it however we can.

Non-citizens convicted of serious crimes have been getting lenient sentences by judges to avoid deportation. My law would change that. This Liberal MP said there's "no evidence" the law is needed. No wonder Canada's immigration consensus has crumbled.
