@smanda_2023 Actually people who travel by bus/train move towards door one stop before destination. The stoppage time is so less people miss getting down at their stop/stn. People have migrated to flight. They forget that plane will not move and luggage will come at its own time.

✈️ The Runway Rush: Why Can’t We Wait for the Flight to Settle? On a recent flight from Coimbatore to Bengaluru, I witnessed a familiar, frustrating scene. The aircraft had barely touched down and was still taxiing to its final parking spot. Yet, the moment the brakes tapped, the entire cabin erupted into the sound of unbuckling seatbelts. Within seconds, everyone jumped up at one shot, crowding the aisle and pulling down heavy overhead luggage. The plane hadn't even settled, and people stood jammed against each other for **15 to 20 minutes** waiting for the doors to finally open. It makes you wonder: **Why do we struggle so much with basic patience in shared spaces?** The Psychology of the "One-Shot" Jump Why can’t we just wait? Why does everyone feel the urge to stand up simultaneously when there is physically nowhere to go? The Illusion of Progress: Standing up gives an artificial sense of control, making people feel like they are moving closer to their destination, even when they are completely stationary. FOMO & The Domino Effect: Often, passengers don't even want to stand, but because the person next to them jumps up, they feel pressured to claim their square inch of aisle space so they don't get "left behind." A Gap in Civic Discipline: Deplaning doesn't have to be a chaotic free-for-all. If we simply waited and disembarked row by row, the entire process would actually be faster, safer, and infinitely more dignified for everyone involved. Moving Toward a Smarter Travel Culture Civic sense isn’t just about following rules; it’s about respecting the people around you. Jamming the aisles for 20 minutes doesn’t make the ground crew work faster or the aerobridge attach quicker. It just creates unnecessary stress and friction. Let’s change the narrative. The next time the plane lands, let's try an experiment in patience: stay seated, let the plane fully settle, and clear out row by row. @DriveSmart_IN @motordave2 #TravelEtiquette #CivicSense #BehavioralPsychology #LinkedInVoices #AirportDiaries

Karnataka CM D K Shivakumar says the state will issue a protocol order allowing ministers, MLAs, judges, senior officials and other Karnataka dignitaries to participate in the first aarti at Tirumala , Tirupati. So far, this privilege has been restricted to the Chief Minister.

@dmuthuk My observation is that Govt (both Centre and States) quietly does something that is known to affect public sentiment. People are waiting to put their narrative and public get first impression. Then Govt/individual comes out with clarification which is too late to perceive.

Why I admire Annamalai is that he is truly a different kind of politician. I saw accusations that the state government had illegitimately transferred temple lands to individuals. I also saw the Minister clearly explaining why this was not the case, by narrating the complete history. For everyone to understand, I have given below the English version of Annamalai’s post: It is essential to understand the factual and legal position regarding the issue concerning 3,084 acres of land in Karur district. The lands under discussion here are not all "temple properties." The majority are related to Inam lands. These Inam lands were granted as endowments by the Vijayanagara Empire and other rulers to archakas (priests), employees, and others serving in temples. Later, inquiries were conducted under the Tamil Nadu Inam (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1963 (Act 30 of 1963), and ryotwari pattas were issued to eligible individuals. Based on these pattas, thousands of farmers have been legally cultivating, maintaining, and enjoying these lands for many decades. However, during the previous DMK regime, these Inam lands that had already received pattas were clubbed together with temple lands and classified under zero value. This resulted in a situation where they could not be registered through sale deeds, causing farmers to face numerous difficulties in obtaining loans, transferring property, and other matters. If the current TVK government's action is aimed at lawfully removing the registration restrictions on these Inam lands that already hold ryotwari pattas, thereby restoring the legal rights of those farmers, it should be welcomed. Portraying this as an act of handing over temple lands to encroachers would create a misleading narrative. At the same time, there is no disagreement that genuine temple properties should not be illegally transferred to private individuals. It is the government's responsibility to both protect temple assets and safeguard the rights of farmers who have obtained legal ownership. Therefore, we support the Tamil Nadu government's action to confirm the ownership of Inam lands that have been lawfully granted ryotwari pattas. This is an important step that will resolve the livelihood concerns of thousands of farmers and address long standing registration issues.

Blue Dart’s delivery person marked me unavailable twice. He never called, and he never came to the house. I have CCTV footage to prove it. When I complained, @BlueDart_’s response was to ask for a “respectful conversation”. Apparently, the delivery person can lie. The customer must watch his tone.

Another day, another baffling experience with Bengaluru's public transport. Today I boarded @BMTC_BENGALURU bus 500CA at Silk Board Metro. The bus waited for nearly 5 minutes to allow more passengers to board—which is absolutely fine. What wasn't fine was the conductor spending those entire 5 minutes standing at the door calling passengers in instead of issuing tickets. Once the bus started moving, ticketing began. With the next fare stage approaching and poor network near HSR Apartments, ticket issuance got delayed, leading to unnecessary frustration for both passengers and the conductor. Had tickets been issued while the bus was stationary, the entire delay could have been avoided. A genuine question: why should a conductor spend time inviting passengers into a bus that's already at a designated stop? If someone needed route information, the driver or even fellow passengers could have assisted. Wouldn't the conductor's time be better spent issuing tickets and keeping the service moving efficiently? @ChristinMP_ @ever_pessimist @bengalurupost1 @BMTC_BENGALURU

When we started the discount brokerage (flat fee per trade) model in India in 2010, we decided to charge the same fee regardless of trade size. The logic was simple: if the effort to execute a trade is the same, why should customers pay differently? We applied the same logic to mutual funds. We didn't launch MFs until we could sell exclusively direct plans. You can't call yourself a discount or a low-cost broker if you charge a percentage fee on transactions, because there's no incremental effort in executing a larger order. This logic has informed all our product and pricing decisions from day one. Anyway, @CoinByZerodha today is the largest direct mutual funds platform in India, with nearly ₹1.6 lakh crores in direct MF AUM, and all our customers have saved thousands of crores in commissions. Direct mutual funds are a no-brainer if you're a DIY investor. It's interesting that most of the direct MF platforms that started when we launched Coin have either disappeared or pivoted to something else. The few remaining platforms are also rethinking their choice of offering direct plans. However, at Zerodha, we will continue to offer direct mutual funds for free. A lot of investors still don't know the difference between direct and regular plans. If you are investing in mutual funds, it's worth checking if your investments are in regular or direct plans. If you are in regular plans and want to switch to direct, we can help.

While economic transition and middle-class reliance are the main drivers for keeping both systems running, Section 10(17) adds a strong hidden motive. Getting rid of the Old Regime completely means changing how lawmakers themselves get taxed. It proves that policy decisions are often influenced by how they affect the people making them.

Ever wondered why the government keeps extending the Old Tax Regime despite pushing so hard for the New Regime? The standard explanation is "taxpayer choice," but one of the overlooked reasons might lie deep within Section 10(17) of the Income Tax Act. Let's look at the math and the mechanics.🧵

When our family goes on a vacation to say an exotic location, the primary focus is on living the experience. We do capture some photos and videos, but the real priority is enjoying the moment. We don’t publish our family photos, vacation pictures, car, house, or similar personal images in the public domain. When I see people focusing solely on creating Instagram Reels and taking hundreds of photos, I feel like asking them: You’re only recording the moments. Why not enjoy them?

Don't get too attached to your job or your colleagues. I spent over 6 years at a major MNC corporate, friendship that got built there through coffee meets, lunches, sports, walks, helping their families, kids, becoming close buddies to attend marriages and seeing families growing over years. All this disappeared in a moment that I left. No calls, no contacts, no messages, no emails. All vanished. Imagine running to donate blood in late nights, caring their old parents by rushing in overnight train journey because they were abroad. Helping their sisters wedding by taking days off. No one turned up when I needed help once I left. Friends that I though would be life long were just colleagues for a career aspirations, competitors eying that promotions and bonuses. Lesson - Colleagues are not necessarily friends. build your circle and friends outside office as well.
