Saw my family for mother's day yesterday, my mother has had a boob job and my sister jokingly said her and I both have fake boobs. I said "What? No I don't", and they were shocked that my chest was real. People really are very uninformed about hrt and the trans experience

@pheebs167747 @nyaraVT I would argue that they are different. HRT in women is measured by how much their body needs to function similar to before menopause, where as if your body doesn't produce those hormones, the volume and purpose would be very different. Distribution is different as well.

They are hormones. Not dangerous chemicals. Not illegal drugs. Cis people can access them incredibly easily, but society forces trans people to jump through hoops. HRT should be over the counter for those that are 18+ like in other countries.

@genspect @ethical_care I don't feel comfortable going to the gym because there tends to be trans identifying males changing in the female change rooms. They are not discrete, they are out there hanging out trying to look and act like they think a woman should be like.

@IfindRetards Simple. If he has kids and they were conceived with his sperm, then he is a father. If he carried a baby in his tummy, he is a mother. However, families are unique and if he wants to celebrate parents day every 6 months then you just do that- what is right for your family.

@sexrealitybites I remember the day that one of the dads turned up to my mother's group. The space and the conversation changed. We no longer talked about things that were inherently connected with childbirth. We were guarded in what we spoke about.

We also lost our rights as moms to ask male-bodied people to leave the bathroom or changing rooms with us. When we are changing our babies too. We lost feeling safe in these spaces. We lost postpartum and mothering groups that have all been flipped to “parenting groups” due to “diversity and inclusion policies” which means women suffering domestic abuse can’t be guaranteed safe spaces away from male abusers either. We can’t ask for female intimate care taking for our autistic children or choose what sex cares for our elderly grandparents. The list goes on and on. Our right to name someone’s sex has been stripped from us in all circumstances if that person doesn’t like it. Women have had to play pretend that their r*pist is a woman too. Trans identifying people who say “trans women are women” don’t care about women and girls, just their own identity.

@DanniBrener It's a phenomenon know as "Schrodinger's Trans" in which women's spaces, sports, language, etc is so irrelevant and unimportant that women shouldn't mind giving them up while simultaneously being so consequential and necessary that men will die if they can't have them.
