I’m glad it checked all of your boxes , and thank you for sharing how you felt about it. Art is subjective, and I agree that a lot of this was done very well. My argument is that I wish he was the center of discussion, not the choreography. What’s memorable is the visual, not the music or artist. Longevity in entertainment relies on people’s relationship with the artist in connection to the music… not the director of a dance video the artist is featured in.

Brilliant choreography. Brilliant look. The one camera angle was a neat trick. Doing it all in one take was amazing. Loved it.

Yung Lean was so far off of my radar I would have never heard of him if not for this video and here I am talking about him on X. I'd say it amplified the hell out of him. I've listened to Storm I & II several times now on Spotify without ever having known he existed until last night -- and have listened to some of his other stuff now too.

Currency has been around for eons and it still has not managed to solve the majority of human suffering… It’s the container through which all labor organization and resource allocation is formed. Maybe there’s something greater than currency that we haven’t tried yet

“Young Lean? Oh the guy that was in that dancing video where they were all synchronized and stuff?” Tell me the name of the song without looking, or any message from the lyrics. Spreading his likeness is one thing, but amplifying his artistry is another. The video did an amazing job at spreading his likeness… however they fell short on making it an impactful moment for him as an artist. A 1/3 win is still a win… but again, just sucks it didn’t amplify HIM as much as it did the visuals.

@KhouryHowell @Chen @boneGPT i think most people who will see this video have no idea who the artist is. thanks to the video/choreography, I know who Yung Lean is now. nobody I shared this with had any idea either. i'd imagine that's one of the creators' intended outcomes.

@KhouryHowell @Chen @boneGPT You’ve lost your mind. That was visually stunning. I couldn’t stop watching. I might have liked the song w/o the video, but now I’ll never forget it. I’ve watched many videos but not one has struck me like this one. It’s beautiful, emotional, original. Love everything about it.

Well… it actually would lol. I know you didn’t know but that’s been my argument about this video I guess.. I think the dancing does a lot of the heavy work, and is what makes people like the video to begin with. The music is just the side note But people keep acting like the music is what makes this interesting

@KhouryHowell @tracybeanz The choreographer is also world renowned. First thing I did after seeing this vid was look him up and watch some of his other work. Amazing stuff.
