Lisa Murkowski’s arguments are the worst! Alaska already requires voter ID & proof of citizenship to vote. ID’s are required for government benefits, as well, of which 13% of Alaska’s population partakes. In order to get your Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act payments you must have a government issued ID. Further, indigenous home birth tradition does not disenfranchise anyone. A Native American woman informed me that the midwives are professionals; & tribes keep very good records of births.
