@tsoding …except when it's a wrapper around Rust, or I'm writing in 6502, or my language actually is C because that's my day job at the moment and sometimes it's fun working with something godawful. (you know, like watching a TV series where the main characters are all assholes :D)

Your language is just a wrapper around actually useful C code. That's why you hate C. You hate it 'cause you are nothing without it.

@Poupon123 You know, those who might otherwise benefit from being able to share experiences with fellow sufferers of a disease known to overwhelmingly be diagnosed before the age of 16.

@Name_Too_Long @TracketPacer @lemieuski When you do manage to find one, FTDI are pretty reliable! Avoid Prolific like the plague. Several times I've pulled an adapter out of the cupboard to resurrect some equipment, only to find it's a Prolific and they have planned some obsolescence into their driver.

@TracketPacer @lemieuski They're annoyingly hard to buy. You want one based on an FTDI chip... but a lot of the drop shippers selling them don't actually know what they're selling and put FTDI in the listing when it's actually something else.

@TracketPacer A bit lower on the scale but I suspect that you will laugh at this one. Temporary office summer move. One of the young techs checked it after I had gone on vacation, stated 'T.J. did it, I don't know, it works, I'm not touching it.', lol. Matching splitters on the closet side.

@SCShipyards Wasn't it because they wrote a tour guide identifying all the places you could drive to (On their tyres presumably)?

Is this ambulatory, microwaved potato really taking the position that every member of the 501st Legion are really closet Nazis? Because it looks like that's what they're saying. (Also, Company of Heroes and Enemy Territory already exist, you clueless buffoon.)

This is the same as saying: "WW2 style game where you play from the perspective of an SS soldier fighting gritty battles" Kinda weird if you ask me

@TeslaVisualized @DougBernauer Not pictured: process 4-1 in the Rankin cycle. Actually, I'm not sure where Rankin processes 1-2 and 3-4 are pictured either. Where is the work being done? Where is the heat rejection?

Yes. Programming is not Bottlenecked by Typing Text. If yours is, you're not doing Programming. You're just Typing Text. It's not about remembering What Text to Type. It's about Understanding the Problem you are Solving.

Does anyone have experience with DIY T-coil setups? Do they even exist? I'm thinking it would help those at the marine rescue base who had hearing aids to make radio ops more accessible.

@gwybod @brianwhelton It probably should be sealed up in some manner :) I'm guessing this was an afterthought to solve an EPR problem like in my situation. At least in my case they sprayed it with some cold-gal before knocking off for the day.

@_hyphenate @kittycretaceous @MNSoda3 @ClaudetteGGibs1 Adding... It was a civil contract long before the Christian interpretation was codified in the 1500s. Earliest evidence was from 2350BC, and for a long time it was about conveying ownership of a woman and legitimacy of heirs. Fortunately, we can and have redefined our traditions.
