@NY1776 @cjlong55 @johnlegend Pretty bad. The gun law pertains to all of Indiana, not specifically Gary. I live 25 minutes away from Gary in a very low crime area. Again, this isn’t an “Indiana” problem, it’s specific neighborhood areas with high crime. I don’t think it’s a gun problem either

@ClintKisker @HardcoreHistory I hear you. We cared for my mom - muscular dystrophy- who required total care. She passed in 2015 at an incredibly old age for a person with MD - 78. My dad developed dementia in 2018 and the effort is beyond what I think people understand. It was so much easier caring for mom.

As someone caring for aging parents with cognitive decline let me say - LIVE fully right NOW. Don’t wait. Take the risk, forgive, build, fail, rebuild, hug your family and laugh at yourself every chance you can because there’s absolutely nothing to save it for. Nothing.

@MatorinLaw @EM_RESUS I’m not a doctor but learned to advocate for my parents - mom had MD, benign brain tumor, dad had melanoma- IIIC. Learn all you can, ask questions, demand test, if necessary and ALWAYS go to a teaching hospital, Even if you have to travel, for serious conditions.

@EM_RESUS Spent 10 min talking to the ER Dr, who then agreed to do d-dimer. Positive, sent for scans, multiple PEs. To his credit, ER doc listened to my uncle and after, said he learned something that night. "I think I'm going to die" was the flashing red light for my uncle.

@markallanbovair Multigenerational living. We did this for six months of the year as my parents were snowbirds. Mom had MD and needed care. Dad is with us full time now with cancer and dementia. Hubs works from home and we make it work. Kids are married and currently renting. Door is always open.

@kris_jayne @meghanttucker @Alyssa_Day Funny you should ask. According to some (other) bloke on the internet who’s not seen a vagina since he was yeeted out of one, sex causes some sort of DNA transfer so each time a woman has a new partner her DNA changes. I wish I was making this up.

@pjgreen @SouthwestAir SWA is fantastic for assistance and power chairs. My mom traveled exclusively with them and never had a bad experience with transfers or caring for her chair. (Muscular Dystrophy)

@nathaliejacoby1 doesn’t matter. If I curated my business dealings with only people that shared my every belief I’d never patronize anyone. Hate this deep divide in our country. I make an effort to hear all sides and respect differences. If you said gay flag instead of trump you’d be cancelled.
