Jews don’t celebrate death - we sanctify life. Whatever your view on the death penalty, breaking open champagne to celebrate a law that takes life is fundamentally anti-Jewish. Many already understand this. Others will, in time. One day we will look back at Ben Gvir’s tenure and feel ashamed that we allowed something so corrosive into the sanctuary of power in Israel.

The regime in Iran has **admitted** that its own IRGC forces **mistakenly** struck a school in Minab yesterday—killing dozens of children in what appears to be a tragic misfire near their own military site. To every legacy media outlet, celebrity activist, and pro-regime voice who rushed to blame the US/Israel and amplify the outrage without verification: **RETRACT YOUR HEADLINES.** **DELETE YOUR POSTS.** **ISSUE CORRECTIONS.** The blood of those kids is on the IRGC's hands—not the strikes you were so eager to condemn. Own the fake news you spread. 🩸🇮🇷 #Iran #IRGC #MinabSchool #FakeNews

Fascinating to observe the almost total silence from loudly pro-Palestinian celebrities & media figures re the courageous Iranian protestors risking their lives for freedom and democracy. Suggests their hatred of Israel overrides intellectual honesty and principle.

Remember: The U.N. recently held emergency Security Council meetings to condemn the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, and to condemn Israel's recognition of Somaliland. Yet the U.N. is refusing to hold any emergency meeting for 12,000 protesters slaughtered in Iran.

@IanMalcolm84 Iranian citizens braver than you could dream of being are sacrificing their lives in the fight for their own liberation, and all you can find to say is 'it's the Jews' fault.' You're beyond parody.

we just raised another $25M after 10x'ing our ARR in 5 months. the crazy part is this almost never happened. 17 years ago, I watched Iron Man as a 10-year-old kid in Delhi. that night, I pulled my first all-nighter teaching myself to code. not because I wanted to build apps or make money. because I wanted to build Jarvis. my parents gave me 1 hour of screen time per day. so I coded in secret, sleeping every alternate night through middle school and high school. built 50+ apps. got a cease and desist from Google at age 12. all for this one obsession: making computers understand us like humans do. fast forward to today: - we've raised $81M total to build the voice operating system - growing revenue 40% month-over-month this year - 70% user retention after one year (unheard of in consumer) - teams at 270 of the Fortune 500 use Wispr Flow daily our Series A2 was led by @hanstung at @notablecap (who was an early investor in five companies that made it to $100B valuation like Slack, Tiktok, and Airbnb). we also brought on @StevenBartlett as an investor and partner. but here's what matters more than the money: we cracked voice input. not transcription - actual understanding. our users hit "send" in under 0.5 seconds without checking. they trust it blindly. that's never existed before. in a recent benchmark, Wispr came out as 3-4x more accurate than OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Siri. and we're just getting started. voice input was step one. now we're building the assistant that actually does things for you. to my co-founder @SahajGarg6 - there's no one else I'd rather build Jarvis with than my college roommate and closest friend. to our team pulling all-nighters and shipping magic - you're the reason that 10-year-old kid's dream is becoming real. we're hiring cracked engineers and growth marketers who want to build the future of human-computer interaction. the keyboard had a good 150-year run. time to build what comes next. PS: like, retweet, and bookmark to get wispr flow for free for 3 months ❤️ — Written with @WisprFlow

I just spoke to my brother, who is in southern Gaza. He was driving back to where he's staying in the evening, when he was surrounded by Hamas's masked gunmen, who raised their weapons at him, asking him for ID & if he had guns on him. He let them search his car and answered all their questions. He works 16-hour days for a major international medical NGO trying to provide services to displaced Gazans who suffer from all kinds of horrendous hardships after 2 years of war. He refused to leave Gaza a year and a half ago when I offered him a chance because he wanted to stay behind and help his people. Hamas is terrorizing the people of Gaza and acting like a thuggish militia that can kill, maim, torture, and disappear individuals at any moment. These fascists are only there to maintain their grip on power. They will never surrender their dominion over the Strip, necessitating the formation of an international coalition to form a force that can wrest control of the coastal enclave away from Hamas's grip. Save Gaza from Hamas!

I’m literally going to cry from all these kind posts today. Seeing them trend means the world to me. Thank you. Standing with Israel as someone who spent a decade in progressive politics is very lonely. Doing it as a trans woman is even lonelier. But Israelis know all about how doing the right thing is rarely easy. I’m very proud to stand with you. 💕 x.com/i/trending/197…

As we hold our breath awaiting the hostages’ return, the facts of the past two years are clear to any decent person, and this is what history will remember: 1. On October 7th, 2023 thousands of Hamas terrorists attacked peaceful Israeli communities and burned, raped and murdered 1,200 Israelis, kidnapping another 250. This included elderly Holocaust survivors, and months old babies. 2. As a result Israel waged a war with two goals: to remove the Hamas threat and to bring home the hostages. 3. Hamas had previously turned most of Gaza into a massive terror complex, with tunnels, rocket launchers and ammunition in tens of thousands of homes, schools and hospitals. 4. Israel faced this unprecedented challenge by massively evacuating civilians, sending millions of text messages before attacks and essentially bent over backwards to minimize civilian casualties. 5. Given Hamas’ methods, tens of thousands of Gazans died. Many were Hamas fighters and many, unfortunately, were civilians. Civilians dying is an inevitable and horrible part of urban warfare. 6. At no point was there a policy of starvation. There was food insecurity because that’s what happens in wars. The pictures of supposed starving children, we now know, were of kids with unrelated pre-existing conditions. 7. There was no genocide, nor was there anything remotely close to that. This is one of the most successful BIG LIES in modern history. 8. The overwhelming majority of Israelis want to raise families and build a good future for our children. We hate war. For us it’s personal because we’re a citizen army. I had to fight wars. I lost close friends. My son serves in the same commando unit as I did. We have skin in the game, so nobody in Israel wants to kill or be killed. But we know that if for one moment we’ll lay down our arms, we’ll be massacred as on Oct 7th, and that’s not something we’re planning. 9. Israel had the deepest gratitude towards @realDonaldTrump and his team. You saw this in Tel Aviv last night. Israel also has considerable domestic debates. That’s part of the beauty here, though I’d happily have a bit less of that beauty. 10. We now need to turn a page, and open a new, beautiful chapter for Israel and for the region. Change is coming soon. Am Yisrael Chai🇮🇱

I wholeheartedly agree with this message @BriannaWu is a woman of immeasurable courage She was a leader of the progressive movement—who has come out against the herd—even when it has been detrimental to her She is a centrist and an independent thinker She deserves our respect
Michael Berkowitz@mbberkowitz

FWIW: I've been following @BriannaWu since shortly after October 7th, '23. She is one of the most level-headed and honorable voices on this platform (okay, if you go by the average that's a low bar, but there are many great people here too, and she's among them). She's also a transwoman who receives a steady stream of vileness over that fact and is very concerned by some of the legislative moves and executive orders affecting trans people. To the best of my understanding, she is opposed to self-identification as sufficient evidence of sex, and of morphological men (I don't know if anybody calls it that, but I mean men who still have their male parts) in women's spaces, and to natal men competing in women's sports where they have a natural advantage, and to medicalized transitioning of children. She also opposes forcing morphological women into men's spaces and denying trans people any rights that don't impinge on others as those listed above do. I'm conservative and religiously orthodox and I share those opinions. The matter doesn't affect me personally, but Mrs. Wu has indicated a lack of rhetorical support for her positions, and publicly placing myself in her camp seems the least I can do.
