@Tw_timerAlder Exactly. I would much rather see that support go to clean energy, local communities and biodiversity than more gas.

On May 13, 2026, the affected residents of Kituntu Village, Kyotera District, petitioned EACOP Co. Ltd after their community well was destroyed during pipeline construction, and never replaced. Despite promises, no alternative water source has been provided to date. A thread 🧵

@Tw_timerAlder Exactly. I want to see more renewables in the mix because lower emissions and lower bills should go together 👍

Honest Alder (not dishonest crank Alder)
In 2025 hours where gas was below 20% of Britain’s electricity mix averaged £60/MWh, compared to £130/MWh in hours where gas generated more than half of power. Renewables bring down wholesale prices. Gas increases wholesale prices. Fact, however angry you get 👍🏻

@WorldBankWater Encouraging to see this. I truly believe protecting land, water and biodiversity while growing clean energy can support real long-term progress in South Sudan.

@electricfelix This is deeply regrettable. I hope these charging sites are restored quickly, because damage like this slows progress toward cleaner transport for whole communities.

@LGSpace Such a fantastic reminder that even small unmown patches can make a real difference for bees, butterflies and biodiversity. Love this.

Kandovan is a unique ancient village in northwestern Iran, famous for its remarkable rock‑carved homes that resemble a living sculpture. Located in East Azerbaijan Province near the city of Tabriz, Kandovan is one of the few inhabited troglodyte (cave‑dwelling) settlements in the world. Its cone‑shaped volcanic formations—created over thousands of years—have been carved into houses, storage rooms, and stables, giving the village a distinctive, organic architecture that blends naturally with the landscape. Kandovan remains a living community, where traditional lifestyles continue alongside growing tourism interest.

Protecting our planet means protecting our future. 🌎 @leylahasanova21, the COP29 Youth Climate Champion, calls on young people to take small steps in support of World Environment Day 2026 . Let us remember that we set an example for future generations through the way we protect nature. The future of our planet depends on the care we show today. 🌐 For more information: wed2026.az #NowForClimate #InspiredByNature #ForClimateForOurFuture

@electricfelix For me, this is very positive news for EV drivers in France. More accessible charging prices are important for wider adoption and cleaner transport.

@WorldBankWater Wonderful to see students turn creativity into practical climate action. I love how murals, poetry and planting seeds can help build real drought resilience.

Scotland is home to remarkable wildlife, but many species are struggling. From the elusive Scottish wildcat to the rare aspen hoverfly, these species all depend on healthy, connected habitats to survive. 🌳 Climate change, habitat loss, pollution and disturbance continue to put pressure on nature. By protecting and restoring native forests, rivers, and habitats, we can help give wildlife the space it needs to thrive once again. 🐟🪰🦅 #WorldEndangeredSpeciesDay

It's finally started! Quite late this season, but exciting to see the first Razorbill eggs appearing on Rathlin in the last few days. Still not seen a Common Guillemot egg yet, but surely any day now

#WoodYou use a material that grows back? Since 2000 the area of certified sustainably managed forests has increased almost 8 times to an area nearly the size of the EU. 🪵When responsibly sourced, wood is nature’s renewable material. #GrowtheSolution #CPForests #SW4SW
