Mike Leiter

5/ Revision 5 - I added in how IR active materials (clouds, aerosols, and GHGs) perform the key function of absorbing surface flux (at lower altitudes), and eventually, much high up, emit to space from lower temperatures. This replaces simply stating that reduced emissions occur at higher, colder altitudes. Also added the scope statement to provide the intended purpose and describe what it is NOT trying to do. Hopefully these updates will help mollify the CO2/GHG crazies that think the statement is "wrong" without mentioning GHG. Now it does, in correct context. Also head-off unwarranted responses that it is incomplete somehow, when the purpose is simply to lay out the structural elements of the GHE that can be proven.
