My September 2023 article: "Will climate change have a positive economic impact? It's possible yet unlikely." I make a case for reparations from northern to equatorial areas towards the end. realclearscience.com/articles/2023/…

@_ClimateCraze The main problem with these graphs is you’re not accounting for the fact that stations which stopped recording were at lower latitudes (for the USA anyway). So the average only appears to be flat. The rest of it is explained by the linked Hausfather blog from 10 years ago.

I used Claude to convert to python. Here are the two graphs and Colab site if anyone wants to run it themself. I think it looks good; plan to check more. #scrollTo=2860e9b9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">colab.research.google.com/drive/10z31-VU…

@Electroversenet This is a disinformation account. The method here is cherry picking: our Potsdam station (I work there) just outside Berlin did have massive air pollution in GDR times that is now gone. The air is as clear again as in the 1950s, but temperatures are 2 C warmer, due to CO2 rise.

Enjoy❗️😘👇

@_ClimateCraze Cherry-pick a single state where post-dust-bowl irrigation expansion impacted temps (pic 1) instead of processing *all* raw USHCN Tavg data, as I did (pic 2). That's a Tobis Rule violation (pic 3).

@1000Frolly The final blow to elkhorn coral along Florida’s coast was marine heatwaves, made worse by co2. phys.org/news/2025-10-i… It has also decreased daytime labor productivity in places that are always hot in the tropics. You can read more about that in my pinned tweet.

Fair enough. Just ask yourself, in the back of your mind, why translating the temperature of earth to Venus based on TSI (scaled TSI temperature), and finding the 1 atm point on Venus, gives the expected temperature. The height of the 1 atm point is based on atmospheric mass (which relates directly to pressure). Translating down the lapse rate to the surface, gives the measured surface temp. i.e. you can anticipate the surface temp on Venus by knowing it's pressure and TSI. Coincidence?

@skdh Some good points here, but I think you missed a really big one: global coal use has plateaued the past few years and many analysts say we’ve hit peak coal demand. Peak oil and gas are expected within about 10 years.

@_ClimateCraze A 9000 years old tree trunk, found in the Swiss alps at 2150 meters above sea level. Guess someone must have sneakily buried it under the glacier back then.

Claims that today's climate is warmer than our recent Holocene max of 6,000 years ago is absurd -- and just more fake news.
