Having grown up in a family of Air Canada pilots (father, brothers, nephew, niece training now), the horrific crash at LaGuardia airport strikes very close to home. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the pilots, and to all those injured. May time and loving support help to heal, and to honour those whom we lost. May we also learn from this tragedy, to make air travel safer for all.

@TheIntelFrog Regardless of tower, you should check left and right before crossing an intersection. Same as with car, at green light, you wait a little in case someone pass their red light at full speed.

A lot have asked why Truck 1 apparently didn’t hear Tower’s direction to stop. Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) trucks are very loud, especially at speed on pavement. They’re equipped with large, off road, tires which have a very loud hum on pavement. Add that to the diesel engine roaring to propel the 60,000lb vehicle forward. Many trucks are equipped with headsets for the personnel to wear to mitigate some noise, but it’s still loud. Similar type of vehicle pictured below for reference.

@Fahadnaimb You want the crew focus on this flight. This is not a psychological consult. It is like after a car accident, to avoid trauma, you have to drive to the same spot. For the crew, they need a normal day of work to go ahead.

Please pray for the Air Traffic Controller who made a mistake that led to loss of life. Their jobs are not easy and I can’t even imagine what he is going through right now. Also pray for the families of the deceased pilots and injured passengers.

No offense but the ATC guy realised his mistake with plenty of time and screamed at the truck driver to stop and hold, they continued on despite 3 call outs to stop. Human error was involved but not really the ATC, more so the driver.

The latest episode is a bit of a flop so far - probably because we released it during March Madness 🤷🏾‍♂️. But I’m extremely grateful for the flood of support that has made this massive endeavor worth the extreme amount of effort it took to put together. Part 3 is the longest in the series at 120 minutes. I might try to consolidate some things or split it into two parts. But honestly I’m not sure if I can break it into any smaller of parts than I have already. I have a family funeral to prepare for and attend this week which will delay things bit. So I expect part 3 will be out within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Given everything that’s happening + the fact it’s basically parts 1 & 2 combined when it comes to complexity and length, that seams like a realistic timeline. We will beat flight 12 though for sure no matter what it takes. In the mean time, thanks to all the support, I’m just going to go ahead and buy that mini treadmill now. Should give me some time to figure out how to properly integrate it into part 3 scenes without it being weird. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported the channel. We continue to improve quality every single time. I will try to do a post Part 2 Q/A livestream sometime over the coming week if things pan out. 🕵🏾❤️
