राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य अभियान (NHM) योजनेला केवळ ६ महिन्यांची अल्प मुदतवाढ देण्याचा केंद्र सरकारचा निर्णय अत्यंत चिंताजनक आहे. २०१२ पासून या अभियानाला सलग ५ वर्षांची मुदतवाढ दिली जात होती. मात्र या वर्षी केवळ ३० सप्टेंबर २०२६ पर्यंत मुदतवाढ देऊन १६ व्या वित्त आयोगाच्या प्रक्रियेत या महत्त्वपूर्ण योजनेचे भवितव्य टांगणीला लावले आहे.
ग्रामीण व शहरी आरोग्य व्यवस्थेचा कणा असलेल्या या अभियानात डॉक्टर, स्टाफ नर्स आणि लॅब टेक्निशियनसह ४० हजारांहून अधिक कर्मचारी मागील १०-१५ वर्षांपासून कार्यरत आहेत. कोविड-१९ सारख्या जागतिक संकटात जीवाची पर्वा न करता सेवा देणाऱ्या या कर्मचाऱ्यांना अशा प्रकारे असुरक्षिततेत ठेवणे अयोग्य आहे.
लसीकरण, कुपोषण निर्मूलन आणि माता-बाल मृत्यू दर कमी करण्याच्या मोहिमांवर याचा विपरीत परिणाम होऊ शकतो. देशाचे केंद्रीय आरोग्य आणि कुटुंब कल्याण मंत्री @JPNadda जी यांना विनंती आहे की, या संवेदनशील विषयाची गंभीर दखल घेऊन सदर निर्णयाचा तातडीने पुनर्विचार करून राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य अभियान योजनेला पूर्ववत ५ वर्षांची मुदतवाढ द्यावी आणि कंत्राटी कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या भविष्याबाबत ठोस धोरण निश्चित करावे.

*The statement issued by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is entirely false, fabricated, and part of a malicious propaganda campaign to malign Pakistan*.
Pakistan did not target or strike any civilians or sports players. The precision strikes conducted recently were solely against terrorist hideouts of the Gul Bahadur Group, located inside Afghanistan’s border areas of Paktika. These terrorists had launched and attempted multiple attacks against Pakistan over the past 48 hours.
The claim that “cricketers” or “civilians” were targeted is baseless, fake news and propaganda.
The ACB statement is therefore a pack of lies, aimed at covering up the presence of terrorist networks in Paktika and diverting attention from Afghanistan’s complicity in harboring these terrorists.
Pakistan’s actions were based on confirmed intelligence and strictly targeted the terrorist infrastructure, not civilians.

Statement of Condolence The Afghanistan Cricket Board expresses its deepest sorrow and grief over the tragic martyrdom of the brave cricketers from Urgun District in Paktika Province, who were targeted this evening in a cowardly attack carried out by the Pakistani regime. In this heartbreaking incident, three players (Kabeer, Sibghatullah and Haroon) alongside 5 other fellow countrymen from Urgun District were martyred, and seven others were injured. The players had earlier traveled to Sharana, the capital of Paktika province, to participate in a friendly cricket match. After returning home to Urgun, they were targeted during a gathering. The ACB considers this a great loss for Afghanistan’s sports community, its athletes, and the cricketing family. The ACB also extends its deepest condolences and solidarity to the bereaved families of the martyrs and to the people of Paktika Province. In response of this tragic incident and as a gesture of respect to the victims, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided to withdraw from participating in the upcoming Tri-Nation T20I Series involving Pakistan, scheduled to be played in late November.
