#Isles have had a very good season. Bless Schaefer, Sorokin, Horvat, Barzal and Pelech. Schenn is good. Season may get even better. Can win a round + Yet it’s amazing that, if you’re being honest — and look, I wanted the hire and and maintain hope — Mathieu Darche’s first-year grade for all of his actual moves might at best turn out to be a C-minus. I mean, you don’t get points for dumping one of your bad signings at a cost. Yet many things can all be true at once. The rest of the season is going to be intense. Darche kept their top prospects and hopefully will learn from his rookie campaign. The present remains solid and the future has not lost its great promise. Enjoy. See you in Elmont.
